Kate Spade Scalloped Bag (Have you seen the deals that eBay is offering on Kate Spade right now?! Huge sale!) / J.Crew Lady Day Coat / Kate Spade Bracelet and Necklace (Again, be sure to check out the Kate Spade sale!) / Sorel Boots / J.Crew Chambray Shirt / Vineyard Vines Cashmere Cable-Knit Sweater / Kate Spade Sunglasses (Check out sale sunnies!) / Hudson Jeans

I try really hard to (mostly) feature products that are currently in stock–or products that have very similar newer versions–here on the blog. The reason for this is because back when I didn’t run this site and was a blog reader, I was always a little bummed when I’d fall in love with something that was no longer available. Silly example, but I distinctly remember looking all over the place for this bracelet back in 2012 or 2013 after seeing it on a blog, and not being able to find it anywhere. Booooo!

Here’s the thing, though: while I run a style blog, I don’t wear new stuff all the time. Yes, I pick a few new things every season to feature, because that’s kind of what I do here. ;) But I’m also a normal human being, and I rely heavily on classics and staples–many of which date back to college. I think most people can relate to that, as we all have our faves, right? The stuff we wear again and again and again–whether it’s a pair of pumps that feel amazing or a coat that’s simply timeless.

So now that we’ve established that I’m a somewhat (😉) normal human, here are three “fashion predicaments” I’ve found myself in over the years:

  1. I’ve broken or misplaced a beloved product that is no longer made. Bah!
  2. I’ve fallen in love with a product that was literally in stock years ago. Like, there’s zero chance it’s coming back, unless the company releases some sort of “blast from the past” line. (This is a great way to find the Coach Court Bag, btw!)
  3. I’m crazy about a particular product, but the in-store price is too steep. Need a deal!

Enter eBay. Love that the company’s tagline is “Did you check eBay?” because it’s the site has solved the above problems more times than I can count. (Also love that eBay has a Money Back Guarantee; Guaranteed Delivery, which ensures delivery in three days or less on more than 20 million items; and a Price Match Guarantee. You can’t beat that!)

eBay is currently having a big Kate Spade sale! Be sure to check it out.

For the first predicament, my mind immediately goes to my sunglasses. I’m sure you’ve noticed that I only wear this pair of Kate Spade sunnies. (See the last photo in this post.) Since the beginning of this blog! Yes, I’ve experimented with a few other pairs here and there, but I always come back to the Kate Spade “Rory” sunglasses. But people lose sunglasses. It’s bound to happen; it’s something you take in and out of your bag constantly. Not surprisingly, I’ve lost my good share of Kate Spade “Rorys,” and every time, I’ve found a replacement on eBay. (All new!) Confession: I’m so freaked out that eBay will “run out” one day, that I have three pairs stockpiled in the basement. (#normalhuman)

For the second predicament, I think about all the adorable stuff I’ve found on Pinterest. Really, it’s just Pinterest I blame for this one, haha. And, I suppose, I blame my friends and my family a little as well. ;) They have their staples, too, and there’s nothing worse than asking, “Where did you find that?!” and hearing the response, “J.Crew but from 2007.” Sigh. Again, though, I head to eBay. Fun fact: I scored the J.Crew Lady Day Coat you see in this post on eBay a couple of years ago! (I have it in “Cornflower Blue,” if that helps to narrow your search.)

For the third predicament, I immediately think about jeans. I love Hudson and Rag & Bone jeans, but I’ll admit that they’re pricey. I’ve scored pairs on eBay, though, for a complete steal.

To help narrow my search, I use filters. They’re found on the left-hand side of the site, and they include condition, format (“Buy It Now”), item location and delivery options. If I’m looking for brand new shoes that’ll arrive quickly, for example, I simply select “New with Box” and one- or two-day shipping. I also sometimes enter in my zip code, and enter in a certain number of miles from that… which is helpful!

As 69 percent of eBay items ship for free and 81 percent of merchandise is new and available with the “Buy It Now” option (no bidding necessary), it’s definitely one of my most visited sites.

Would love to hear what amazing products you’ve found on eBay!
