Okay. So we didn’t finish painting the fireplace as planned yesterday. But we’re really close! We have friends coming in from the East Coast next week, and we’re so excited to see ’em–and grateful that their visit is giving us a big push to get things clean and organized. Though I did just clean and organize a couple of weeks ago. (And we all know how that turned out, haha.) Funny how home renovations can wreak havoc on a home when their purpose is to improve said home. ;)

Ugh. All I talk about on this blog anymore is construction. I’m so sorry! I promise that soon, all of this will be over, and I’ll go back to my normal ramblings. ;)

Which brings me to this: my favorite pumps are on sale! (Take an extra 25 percent off with code “25EXTRA.”) I think they’re truly the cutest pair of shoes I’ve ever owned, and they’ve really been dressing up my white-jeans-and-tunic outfits lately. (Besides maxi dresses, it’s essentially the only other look I can pull off this late in the game!) I paired the pumps–first introduced to me by my friend Mackenzie–with the most magical tunic from Vineyard Vines, which somehow even looks good with my bump.

Sizing tip: Pre-pregnancy, I wore a size XS in Vineyard Vines, and at 35.5 weeks, I’m wearing a size medium. I’m also NOT a tiny preggo lady. So I’d definitely size down in this tunic!

Anyway, what do you have going on this weekend? Mitch and I are staying in tonight, celebrating Gracie’s first birthday on Saturday, and picking up our friends Tara and Mike from the airport on Sunday. Honestly, I’m absolutely dreading all the work that needs to be accomplished today… but it’ll surely make the weekend (and next week) all the more enjoyable!
