As I’m getting in the holiday spirit this year, I’m trying my best to curb stress and anxiety and actually enjoy Christmas. Last year Covid forced me to slow down during the holidays, and I think it was our best Christmas yet. One thing I’m doing differently is trying to get ahead on as many holiday things as possible. And this year was the first time that we set out our Christmas decor early. Chicago got some snow a couple of weekends ago, and Mitch and I decided to pull out the holiday stuff since it sounded like a fun activity for a snowy day. I have to say I love how cozy and warm our home becomes once everything is up, which is nice considering how early it gets dark outside now. We also decorated the girls’ rooms for the holidays. If you missed that post, see how it turned out here. Decorating was such a blast—It’s so special seeing the magic through their eyes. Anyways there are some great holiday decorations this year, and I rounded up a few of my favorites. So if you’re looking for a couple things to help your home feel merry, I hope this helps.

Ceramic Houses: These are such a cute decoration for your mantle. Since the different houses are sold separately, this would be great to collect and slowly build a miniature Christmas village over the years.

Plaid Stocking: Love this plaid and white Christmas stocking!

Red Stocking: This red cable knit stocking is a classic and looks adorable when mixed and matched with any plaid stocking.

Tartan Stocking: Such a cute green and red stocking—I love the pompom detail.

Holly Ball: If you have an arched doorway or hallway in your home, this holly ball will look so gorgeous hung from it.

Plaid Dog Bed: Can’t leave Noodle out of the festive decorations!

Porch Pine Tree: I love decorating our stoop for every season, and I think these porch pine trees would look by the door. Plus, they are under $50!

Gingerbread Doormat: This gingerbread house doormat is too cute.

Red Velvet Throw Pillow: Love these red velvet throw pillows to add a little festive touch to the couch.

Plaid Throw Pillow: I’m all for anything plaid this time of year, and this throw pillow is no exception.

Sherpa Christmas Tree Pillow: This Christmas tree accent pillow is such a great find for only $20.

Wreath: Love this classic wreath!

Nest Candle: This is one of Mitch’s favorite holiday candles. He burns it almost every night right now.

Green Pine Candle: Another fantastic holiday candle! This one smells like pine trees and firewood.

Decorative Vase: This would look cute as a table centerpiece or on a nightstand.

Ceramic Christmas Trees: These LED ceramic Christmas trees are adorable.

Knit Throw Blanket: A super cozy throw blanket is essential for this time of the year.

Snowman Mug: Perfect for drinking some peppermint hot cocoa or your morning cup of coffee.
