One of the best parts of moving to Chicago has been getting to know the local hotspots. And recently, I found a new favorite: Vintage Charm, an adorable boutique on Damen in Bucktown that opened this past summer. (Its original location, still in LaGrange, opened its doors in 2002.)

The store carries the most amazing selection of brands, like Kendra Scott, Free People, Everly, Darling, BB Dakota, Splendid, RD Style and Ya Los Angeles (a personal favorite!)–along with some incredible home decor. Basically, I love everything. So many gorgeous, soft materials… and plaid and sparkles!

Last week, Noodle and I attended the store’s First Annual Holiday Open House, and we had such a good time! (And Noodle didn’t have a single accident! #success) Notice what a packed house it was?! It’s no wonder: the Vintage Charm team truly went above and beyond for the event.

There were eight raffles, amazing food and drink–everything from champagne and delicious sweets to tasty appetizers and the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had–and an incredible sale. For most of the day, the entire shop was 20 percent off, too!

I had a great time exploring the gorgeous store and shopping the current line as well as chatting with the staff, local residents and other bloggers in attendance. (Mitch and our friend Dan even came! And if Mitch and Dan attend a shopping event and have a ball, it means the night was a huge hit, hehe.)

I also loved learning that Vintage Charm is family-run, and that the owner–Nancy Allodi–is the mother of four boys, all of whom were in attendance to support their mom. (The cutest, right?)

The next time you’re in Chicago, be sure to visit Vintage Charm. It’s a boutique you don’t want to miss! Photos from the event are above, and check out Liz and Jess’ recent Vintage Charm apartment/outfit posts! (How great is that leopard coat? You can buy it here! And the plaid blanket scarf: a must-have!)
