We’ve come a long way! I can’t tell you how in love I am with the progress we’ve made in our bedroom.

First, we are rid of all clutter. That’s been HUGE. For years, my bedroom was always a mess—clothing strewn on chairs and the floor; tote bags and shoes everywhere. Turns out that I simply owned too much and wasn’t organized. Now that I have less and have specific homes for what I do have, tidying the room takes no more than five minutes. I make the bed, put my pajamas away or clothing in the hamper, and open the curtains. And that’s… it. 🤯 Guys, it’s fabulous, especially as a tired mom. ;) (If you’ve been thinking about downsizing your wardrobe and getting organized, I wrote this post on my process a few years ago. I do think I need to write another one, though! Okay, actually—doing that RIGHT AFTER I’m done with this post. )

Second, the space feels like more of a reflection of who we are now. I’ve personally changed and grown a lot over the last couple of years, and while I loved the busy wallpaper for a long time, I’m in an anti-busy chapter now. 😉 I now start and end the day in a calming environment, and that seems to carry over into other areas of life!

We still have a couple of things to do, like hang the mirror and perhaps switch out the chandelier and move it elsewhere in the house. I also need to vacuum for the 75th time as the dust was crazy when we moved the old rug into the playroom! But so happy with the progress. :) Below are some iPhone picks; links to products above and below!
