We made it!

Despite a solid 13 hours of rain during our 13-hour drive back to Chicago, yesterday wasn’t so bad. We’re home, and with any hope, our cleaning lady is currently working our magic on it as you read this! I’m feeling motivated and inspired today; almost like it’s the beginning of a new school year. Woo! Let’s do this.

Though… what day is it?

All jokes aside, this my third “Pearls and Stripes” look, so be sure to catch Post #1 and Post #2 in case you missed ’em. ;) But this is a favorite transitional outfit, and one that’ll easily bring you from the chillier days of spring to the warmer ones!

Before I get to the clothes, I have to comment on the South Sea Pearl Solitaire Pendant Necklace from Shane Co. that you see here. I love how dainty it is, and I really can’t imagine another necklace that would complement the scalloped neckline of this must-have camisole!

Emma gave my mom pearl pendant necklace last year as a thank you for watching her for the better part of the week, and now Mom and I say that single pearls always remind us of Little E. Recently, I’ve been considering switching out my simple, everyday necklace to this one because of just that! I love the matching bracelet, too… though Emma does beg to wear it #alldayeveryday. I let her; we’re just careful!

As for the rest of the look, I can’t get enough of this striped blazer, which is a cottony knit material and therefore cozy for those colder stretches. And while I know you’ve heard me talk about the bow mules for a solid year now, but they’re really that great for spring! (Super soft; no break-in time required.) And the jeans? It took me a long time to find them, but I finally have an ultra-comfy pair that can bring me from daytime with my little family to dates with Mitch or nights with girlfriends.
