4th of July Outfits for a backyard cookout, 4th of July parade, and to watch fireworks

We tackled 4th of July Decorations earlier this week, so next up is 4th of July Outfits. 4th of July weekend is always special and filled with many memories, whether at the beach, at the lake, or in our backyard. Here are three outfit ideas to wear on the 4th of July, from a festive outfit to wear to a cookout, a cute navy dress to wear to a 4th of July parade, and lastly, my favorite American flag sweater, which is perfect for throwing on at the end of the night to watch fireworks.

4th of July Cookout

4th of July Outfits for a backyard cookout

Long-Sleeve Red Eyelet Top / White Demi-Boot Jeans / Navy Earrings / Gold Bar Necklace / Straw Tote Bag / Navy Espadrille Wedges

If you plan on spending your 4th of July at a cookout, this fun and festive red eyelet top would be a great piece to wear. The classic silhouette is gorgeous, and you can wear it all summer long. Best of all, it’s on sale for 40% off right now. I’d pair this red top with white demi-boot jeans, but denim shorts would also look cute. Accessorize with a gold bar necklace, a straw tote bag, and navy earrings to tie together the patriotic look. Lastly, wear navy espadrille wedges if you want to dress up the outfit, or opt for leather sandals for something a bit more casual.

4th of July Parade

Navy Maxi Dress / Gold Bar Bracelet / Pearl Stud Earrings / Woven Leather Bag / White Leather Sandals

This navy dress is stunning! While it’s a perfect pick for a 4th of July outfit, it’s also a dress you’ll get so much wear out of year-round. I love the flowy hem and poplin material, making this A-line dress so timeless. It’s incredibly chic while still being easy to dress down when needed, which is why it would be my pick to wear to a Fourth of July parade. I’d style it with white leather sandals for a more casual look and accessorize with minimal jewelry like pearl earrings and a dainty gold bar bracelet. And finally, this woven leather bag pulls the outfit together; it’s such a pretty staple for summer and under $100, which is a steal!

Watching Fireworks

American Flag Sweater / Denim Shorts / Tortoise Sunglasses / Navy Woven Tote Bag / Jack Rodgers Sandals

It’s no surprise that I had to include my beloved American flag sweater in this post. While it’s an investment piece, I can’t tell you how much wear I’ve gotten from it year after year. It’s easily one of my most-worn sweaters. This sweater is made of cotton, so there is no itch, and I adore the rolled neck. It’s definitely oversized, so I recommend going down one size for the perfect roomy fit.

I usually wear it with jeans and Veja Sneakers, but for this Fourth of July look, I think it would look so cute styled with denim shorts and my favorite Jack Rodgers sandals. Seriously, I gave away all of my other sandals because these are so comfortable, and I no longer want to wear any other sandals. Accessorize with a navy woven tote bag to tie together the perfect cozy look for watching fireworks. This outfit would also be wonderful to wear during the day and in that case I’d grab a pair of sunglasses.
