Amazon LED Floating Candles / Amazon Reusable Bat Stickers / Amazon Floating Witches’ Hats

Hello! I can’t believe I stuck to 10 actual things this time.

Trying to not be “in my head” as much as I normally am, so here we go:

  • KINDLE IS NOW IN COLOR: WOW. I have no words. Jk, I always have words. Emma wants this for Christmas more than anything in the world, which I have to admit makes me proud. But also I’m excited because I want to try it too. Ha! Word on the street is that it’s going to be amazing for fans of comic books and graphic novels. My hope is that it’s also going to be fab for children’s books. You can pre-order it now but obviously more info should come to light after it’s released!
  • I made a Substack. (I think.) You don’t need to be a genius to know I’ve been wishing for more in this space over the last few years. I’m not a short-form content kind of gal. ;) Enter Substack, which is a newsletter service that apparently caters to the long-winded. I have no idea what I’m doing but it’s happening. I think you can subscribe here. Press the big orange button?
  • The girls have decided on their Halloween costumes. Lucy is being Dorothy (because she’s in The Wizard of Oz this fall!) and Emma is being Taylor Swift from The Tortured Poets Department, duh. ;) I’m “making” Emma’s, so pray for me.
  • We’re skipping Christmas: I know. It sounds weird. But my in-laws came up with this incredible plan to skip it all and instead go on a cruise and the entire family was like OMG, yes. So we’re taking a break this year and simply focusing on each other. And I love that. Never left the United States for Christmas before, but I’m here for the journey!
  • If you’re drowning in stuffies or have a child who enjoys commemorating life moments with with acquisition of more stuffies, try Palm Pals, as discovered by my mother. WOW. Okay, so Lucy loves stuffies more than anything in the world. And here’s the thing: She PLAYS with them. Which is great! But it’s become a bit of a problem, storage-wise. Enter Palm Palms, which my mother found on Amazon. They’re very small stuffies which give Lucy JUST as much joy—if not more, because they’re adorably small?!—than big ones. I highly recommend. They’re like Jellycat stuffies, just smaller. Genius.
  • I started lifting weights. I turned 40 a few weeks ago, and my amazing wellness-oriented uncle (and my doctor) said I really need to start lifting weights. So I got these 10-pounders on Amazon which don’t look horrific in my office.)
  • I’m (TRADITIONALLY) wallpapering our kitchen in this print. My friend Casey from DIY Playbook told me I could do it so I’m doing it, haha. Read this guide on her blog. It’s great! Apparently the kind of wallpaper I’m using is easier than peel-and-stick?! Like WHAT?!
  • I joined ShopMy. Okay, I have a lot of work to do. But this site is amazing. It allows me to organize all my stuff in such an aesthetically pleasing way, and I’m here for it. I actually find it fun?! Fingers crossed that I stick with it, because I could see myself loving it as a non-blogger! (Muggle? Buggle?)
  • My brother’s last-minute/affordable Amazon Halloween decor is insanity. Listen, guys. Patrick is wonderful. He’s so smart, and he has saved so many lives in emergency medicine. And honestly, he’s a fabulous self-taught carpenter. But—and I’m so sorry for saying this—never in a million years did I think the guy had decor talent. Yet he does. His wife Kim purchased a bunch of last-minute Amazon Halloween stuff and he made it look like THIS. Wow. What a team. Love you both.
  • If you have super sensitive feet, here are the softest knee-high boots you can purchase. I would say I did roughly two days of research on this post, which definitely made me question how I spend my workdays. But I feel very confident about it, and I ordered a few pairs to test for you. Girls with insanely sensitive feet UNITE!
