And now let’s shine the light on one of my favorite tops: The Suede Easton Top. :)
It’s a really, really soft little number… and while it’s a basic—I wear it often—it really packs a punch in terms of style. From the slightly puffed shoulders and the ruffled cuffs, it’s feminine and sweet. And the suede material provides a whole lot of warmth fall through spring.
The top is generous, and I sized down on this one. Btw: The Easton Top is available in other colors!
Since it’s flowy, I recommend wearing skinny or straight-leg jeans. (My rule is that if a top is flowy, the bottoms shouldn’t be—and vice versa.) This is my favorite dark-wash pair from J.Crew.
Scroll down to see photos from when I wore it to the University of Notre Dame! Because my brother went to ND for undergrad, the Sheehans are BIG fans. Dad had extra tickets, so we took Emma and Lucy to their first football game. They lasted about 20 minutes in the actual bleachers, haha, but what a blast! Their favorite part was roaming the campus with their pompoms. Cutest ND cheerleaders that day, in my opinion. 😉
PS: These are THE most comfortable ballet flats in the history of the planet. Buttery soft leather that’s completely unstructured and therefore feels like a cloud. An investment but the only ballet flats I can wear without tearing up my feet!
Poor College Lucy. ^ She just wanted to go to the pre-game party.
