Vanity / Sconces / Faucet / Tissue Holder / Mirror / New Wallpaper / Original Wallpaper / Paint Color: “Shaded White” by Farrow & Ball

If you’ve been following along for some time, you know I love a good wallpaper transformation. I know, I know. It can be a lot of work. But not if you go with quality paper! And gosh, the payout is worth it.

Undoubtedly the easiest way to dip your toes into the world of wallpaper is by starting with a small space, like a bathroom. So today I’m sharing the difference that a couple of $65 wallpaper rolls made to our little powder room in phase II of its glow-up.

I’ve purchased so much of our wallpaper from Wayfair. And while the retailer—known for its fast and free shipping—certainly offers some very high-end papers, it also offers gems for a total steal. Take the wallpaper I used in today’s post, for example. Really looks like Schumacher or Sanderson, right?! But no. Look at the price!

I’m so happy with how phase II turned out. It’s still traditional and warm—but muted, less yellow, and more me. And despite our 1880s crooked walls and uneven surfaces, installing it wasn’t torturous! I had the whole bathroom done in a weekend, which, as a newish DIYer, is a success, if you ask me. ;)

This week I’m going to be heading up to the Wayfair store in Wilmette, and I’ll be bringing back some holiday decor for our home, including the powder room for the last phase of its glow-up. Can’t wait to share that with you next!
