Eeek! Please excuse my hair. Early mornings and Kellys clearly don’t mix. And I’m in desperate need of a haircut–which I’m just realizing now. ;)
As much as I’m a city girl, weekends at my in-laws’ lake house downstate are some of my absolute favorites.
Of course, it takes us a solid three hours to make our way through Chicago rush hour traffic and actually get there, but it’s completely worth it. Plus, I have Jess to text while we’re driving, as she’s typically in the car on the way to Neal’s parents’ lake house in Michigan. ;)
These photos were taken on our favorite harbor on Lake Michigan in Chicago, but I’m really looking forward to sharing some Lake Bloomington pics next week. The weather is supposed to be amazing, and I’m going to be spending some quality time outdoors with my camera.
While so much of what I do involves shooting, I don’t actually get behind the lens as often as I’d like. And photography is a big part of the reason I started Kelly in the City! So a weekend of vibrant colors and stunning surroundings is pretty much my idea of perfection.
