Today is March 20th: the first day of spring! Of course, it’s still pretty cold in New York, so it’s a bit difficult to get excited about spring’s “arrival.” I am, however, excited about today for another reason. Four months from today, I’ll marry my best friend. :) It’s a complete fairytale.
After school today, I hustled down to the Upper East Side to have my hair done. I’ve put it off for so long, mostly because of laziness. I hate sacrificing a weekday night to travel to the UES, sit in a chair for a few hours, and then travel back home. I’d so much rather go home and veg with Mitch! But the dark streak down the middle of my head finally got to me, so I sucked it up and went. ;)
In typical Kelly fashion, I left school late and had a rough time making it to the salon on time. I actually had to grab a cab from 86th Street to 76th Street to save face. Luckily, Mitch captured this act of ridiculousness on camera. ;) Also repeatedly caught on camera? How often I wear these booties. ;) Seriously, though. Part of the reason I wear them so often is that they almost feel like flats. If you’re looking for a comfortable pair of ankle boots, this is the pair you should go with. My feet kill in anything that has even the tiniest bit of height, and I can walk 40 blocks in these shoes without so much as an ache! Not that we’ll be needing boots anytime in the near future. ;) (Come on, spring!)
