Tiki Wrap Romper in “Resort White Zanibar Lace” / Originally $178 / Sale price: $44
Hi guys! Lilly invited me to do a try-on to help promote the After Party Sale, so yesterday, Mitch drove me out to the Lilly Pulitzer store in Oakbrook. I tried on SO many sale products, so I’m going to break up the try-on into two different posts. And today, I’m featuring all the outerwear, sweaters and dresses that I selected!
Btw: You can shop early at the Oakbrook store! Today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday), shop the sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and expect 30-65 percent off. There will likely be a line, but parking will be super easy if you arrive early since the mall doesn’t open until 10 a.m.!
Before I share the try-on, a couple of things you should know:
The sale
The January 2020 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale will be taking place on Monday, January 6th around 8:00 am(ish) EST and run through 11:59 pm EST on Tuesday, January 7th. And according to my friends at Lilly, there are going to be “SO many popular styles and prints” included. As always, there will be a virtual line in order to avoid site crashes… but there will be a LOT of inventory, so please don’t worry about missing out on the “good stuff.” There will also be an additional new product drop the morning of Tuesday, January 7th. Looking for more details? Visit Lilly’s Sale FAQ page!
The $500 giveaway
Here is your first chance to enter to win $500 to shop the sale. For a second chance, simply:
- Read about Lilly and tell me one interesting thing you learned from the piece (in the comment section at the very end of this post).
- Bonus points for telling me what you’d include if you could design your own Lilly print.
- Remember to include your e-mail address in the following non-spammy format so I can get in touch with you if you win: Kelly [at] gmail [dot] com. (Don’t worry. I am far too sleep-deprived to do anything with your info. Pinky swear! 😉)
That’s it! Winner will be announced and contacted on the 6th, once the virtual line disappears to prove that there is SO much to shop throughout the entirety of the sale. 💕 (Also, I can almost guarantee that there will be a third chance to enter tomorrow… so check back frequently!) Note: Winner will be paid via Venmo or Paypal since there might be a delay on Lilly e-gift card deliveries that day.
Other products you might see in this post
South Ocean High-Rise Skinny Jeans: I review them at the very end of this post, but they’ll be included in the sale! I’m wearing a size 00, but they were much too small. I’d probably go with the 0 or 2. (So I’d recommend going with your normal size or one size down. But not two!)
Scalloped Sweater: It’s a favorite and it’s on sale. TTS. I’m wearing a size small here.
Bow Earrings: Definitely my favorite earrings right now. My holes are almost pulled through (#tmi) but they’re SO LIGHT that I can wear them!
Tde. Phone Case: A gift from my aunt for Christmas. I’m crazy about it! It’s navy.
White Boots: Buttery soft leather. TTS. I own them in three colors because I wear them so much!
White Cane Pumps: On crazy sale! TTS. The heel is about 2 inches, for reference.
The try-on
In this post, I’m trying on outerwear, sweaters and dresses. In tomorrow’s post, I’ll be featuring pants/jeans, tops, shoes, Luxletic, swim, accessories and girls.
My measurements, for reference and sizing purposes:
- Size 34A bra
- Prefer size 25 or 26 jeans
- Prefer size 0 or 2 in pants
- Prefer size 2 or small in tops
- Prefer size 2 or small in coats and jackets
- Height: Between 5’4 and 5’5
- We’re a “no scale” family, but I’m usually somewhere around 115 pounds, give or take some if I’m stressed, busy or tired 😂
Okay! Let’s get started:
Outerwear
Marilee Reversible Jacket in “High Tide Navy”
Originally $278 / Sale price: $114
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: I absolutely adored this jacket, so it came home with me. ;) It’s reversible! I love that. And it’s so versatile if you’re traveling! (Two looks out of one piece.) The 2 fit perfectly; 0s tend to not give me enough room in the shoulder area. It’s certainly not a jacket that I’m going to wear in the dead of winter in Chicago when I’m facing -25 temps, but I’d assume that it’s fabulous in weather in the 30s/40s, and even colder if you’re not walking super long distances outside.
Haisley Puffer 2-in-1 Jacket/Vest in “True Navy”
Originally $278 / Sale price: $109
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: GREAT! If you look closely, you can see that the arms snap on and off… so you can wear it as a vest, too. Sizing was TTS, and I adore the gold hardware. SUCH a steal for only $109!
Palm Paradise Vest in Navy, Onyx, “Zanzibar Blue” and Pink
Originally $178 / Sale price: $84
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: XS
Fit + Overall thoughts: I probably would have gone with an XS in this if I’d been ordering blindly online, but the small was totally fine! Loved all four colors, and how each had a different print as the liner. Also, note the ruffly collar. Isn’t that so cute?!
Sweaters
Elba Sweater in “True Navy Moonlight Colorblock”
Originally $138 / Sale price: $44
Size shown: XS
Size I would normally buy: XS
Fit + Overall thoughts: This sweater runs large, so *definitely* go down a size. However, it’s the most forgiving sweater I own, and it hangs in all the right ways. So flattering–on everyone I’ve seen it on! While pregnant, this is my go-to, which is why I own three of them. (While pregnant, I also wear the XS, so keep that in mind!) Again, size down… but SO GOOD!
Belinda Pullover in “High Tide Navy By Land or Sea”
Originally $118 / Sale price: $49
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: This would be an excellent top for the girl who wants to look fancy when “out on the town,” but who is also always freezing. ;) It’s made out of velour and it’s SO soft and warm… and the off-the-shoulder feature is done in such a classy way. I will say, though, that it runs kind of small. I’m wearing the small here and I think I could have gone with the medium!
Odetta Sweater in “Coconut” and Black
Originally $148 / Sale price: $59
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: A versatile sweater that would look great with pants and skirts. Runs a bit small.
Sariya Sweater Dress in “Heathered Sand Bar Metallic”
Originally $168 / Sale price: $69
Size shown: Medium
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: OBSESSED. I took this one home with me. It’s gold, and it’s just so comfy. I think it runs a little small around the butt area, I’m wearing the size medium here and it’s perfect. If you want it to be flowy, go one size up… but if you’re looking for a fitted look, go with your normal size. I plan on wearing this with black sheer tights and black over-the-knee boots.
Frederica Cardigan (The top, btw, is the Florin Silk Sleeveless V-Neck.)
Originally $178 / Sale price: $79
Size shown: XXS/XS
Size I would normally buy: XS
Fit + Overall thoughts: Love the fringe detailing! It runs large. I would go one size down. Adds some interest to an otherwise simple outfit.
Tatum Cardigan in “Pink Tropics Tint” (The top, btw, is the Florin Silk Sleeveless V-Neck.)
Originally $118 / Sale price: $69
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: XS
Fit + Overall thoughts: This is a thicker, sturdier knit, yet it’s still very soft. I’m wearing the Small here but would likely order the XS. Adds warmth to tops that I wouldn’t normally be able to wear during the winter and spring. Definitely a year-round staple, actually!
Terri Wrap in “Heathered Pink Tropics Tint” (The top, btw, is the Florin Silk Sleeveless V-Neck.)
Originally $128 / Sale price: $59
Size shown: 1 sz
Size I would normally buy: n/a
Fit + Overall thoughts: A GREAT gift since it’s one-size-fits-all, and perfect for fancier events when you plan on wearing a sleeveless dress and are worried about being cold. Fabulous for travel, too.
Macarthy Cardigan in “Heathered Beach Tan” (The top, btw, is the Florin Silk Sleeveless V-Neck.)
Originally $188 / Sale price: $79
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: XS
Fit + Overall thoughts: Every girl needs a camel cardigan! Looks fantastic. I could only find the small, but I would have gone for the XS if it had been available. Very thick; feels like it would last a long time.
Dresses
Adalee Shift in “Mandevilla Pink”
Originally $188 / Sale price: $64
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: Beautiful! Definitely a dress that you could dress up or down, and even wear to a wedding. Flowy and forgiving. The sizing was spot-on!
Long-Sleeved Harper Shift in “Bayside Blue”
Originally $158 / Sale price: $69
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: I’m a HUGE fan of the Harper Shift Dresses, and was thrilled to see the long-sleeved version was included in the sale! It features a Terry interior, making the dress very cozy. Casual yet really fun and pretty. It also doesn’t wrinkle very much. Might run a teensy bit large, but I’d still order my normal size.
Originally $178 / Sale price: $59
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: This is a sweatshirt material, and I’m loving it! I probably normally wouldn’t have gone for this because the sleeves are really something, but I love it! SO comfy, but the detailing makes it so that you’d be able to wear it to dinner. A great find!
Tiki Wrap Romper in “Resort White Zanibar Lace”
Originally $178 / Sale price: $44
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: THIS WAS MY FAVORITE OUT OF EVERYTHING I TRIED ON! Which is weird because I normally don’t do rompers. I have a long torso and they just always seem to ride up… but this one was cut a little longer, so it worked! Love that you can’t TELL it’s a romper, though. Great for moms who are running after small kids… or anyone, really. Mitch said it was his favorite, too! ALSO, the sale price is only $44?! Not sure if that’s an error… but if you see it for $44 on the 6th, GET IT! So comfy since it’s knit, and just overall gorgeous. Okay bye, haha. (Sizing: I’m wearing a small here and definitely couldn’t go down to an XS. Get your normal size!)
Joella Silk Dress in “True Navy Seagrass Metallic Clip Chiffon”
Originally $268 / Sale price: $119
Size shown: 0
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: This is stunning. Hard to find a solid navy dress to wear to events, but this one fits the bill! Not as itchy as other dresses I’ve tried with metallic threads… and it cinches really nicely in the waist area to add some definition. I’d normally buy a 2, but I think the 0 fits well.
Giana Silk Dress in “Coral Spritz Seagrass Metallic Clip Chiffon”
Originally $258 / Sale price: $109
Size shown: 00
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: This one is fun and lovely, but warning: it runs large! Don’t let that scare you away; it’s wonderfully forgiving. But I went down two sizes and it’s still forgiving! :) Love it, though. If you get the sizing right, it’s beautiful.
Shea Silk Dress in “Cabernet Berry Metallic Diamond Clip”
Originally $248 / Sale price: $109
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: This one has a straighter and more mature cut. I think I’d probably go for this one! Wonderful dress to wear throughout the winter. TTS.
Originally $198 / Sale price: $69
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: Another favorite, and one that I took home! Again, I really surprised myself with the products I ended up with. I normally don’t love dresses with billowy arms, but this dress is wrinkle-resistant and just hung very nicely! A great black dress to take on vacation. :) The size 2 worked perfectly.
Natalie Coverup in “Bayside Blue Under the Moon”
Originally $118 / Sale price: $59
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: YES TO THIS! This is the best coverup of all time, and I want it in a zillion colors, haha. It’s short, but not short enough that you couldn’t walk off the beach and wear it into a restaurant. Huge fan. Used to wear mine often when I’d go boating with my dad. We’d dock the boat and grab lunch at a nearby dockside restaurant. Worked great! TTS.
Clary Polo Dress in “True Navy”
Originally $148 / Sale price: $64
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: I’ve been wondering about this dress for a while, so I was excited to give it a try! Big fan. It’s casual, as it’s obviously a polo dress, but the flowering around the collar makes it way more fun. Hangs really nicely; TTS!
Vivvy Dress in “High Tide Navy By Land or By Sea Engineered”
Originally $108 / Sale price: $44
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: I’ve always purchased Brewster, Bay and Hollee dresses in the past… but this one surprised me! I loved the cut and the classic navy coloring. A great everyday dress that can be dressed up or down! TTS.
Hollee Dress in “High Tide Navy Lucky Bamboo Engineered Knit”
Originally $108 / Sale price: $39
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: Same here. Classic and versatile; TTS. The Hollee dress has long been a favorite and I love the bamboo print. You also can’t beat the price!
Bay Dress in “Lapis Lazuli Your Biggest Fan Engineered”
Originally $108 / Sale price: $49
Size shown: Small
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: Another very similar one. I LIVE in t-shirt dresses during the summer, and love the ones with sleeves so I don’t get chilly at night!
Kayla Stretch Dress in “True Navy Fern Pucker Jaquard”
Originally $198 / Sale price: $54
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: Gorgeous. Runs very TTS if not a little on the smaller side, since it’s fitted around the bust and ribcage area… so definitely don’t size down. But it’s stretchy and oh-so-comfy, and you’ll look fancy! Huge fan.
Portia Shift in “Gold Metallic Resort Boucle”
Originally $278 / Sale price: $119
Size shown: 0
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: This, by far, was the most stunning dress I tried on. So Jackie O., right?! If they’d had it in a size 2, I probably would have taken it home with me, but it was a little tight. I can’t get over that neckline. This is just one of those dresses that’ll stay in a closet forever!
Franci Dress in “Gold Metallic Lagoon Jacquard”
Originally $278 / Sale price: $129
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: Conversely, this dress ran a bit big, and I would have gone down a size. But so gorgeous! The A-line fit is incredibly flattering, too. And love that you can zip the front as high as you want!
Franci Dress in “Bermuda Blue Lagoon Jacquard”
Originally $278 / Sale price: $129
Size shown: 2
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit + Overall thoughts: It comes in blue, too, but I was getting tired at the time, haha. Again, I would have gone down one size.
Myles Maxi Dress in “High Tide Navy Coral Club”
Originally $218 / Sale price: $89
Size shown: XS
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: I don’t love ruffled sleeves, so this one didn’t speak to me that much. ;) It also ran very long. I’m 5’5 on a good day, and was wearing two-inch heels, yet the dress still dragged on the floor. I could also only find it in a size XS, and that was too tight for my ribcage.
Melli Maxi Dress in “High Tide Navy Party in Paradise”
Originally $218 / Sale price: $89
Size shown: XS
Size I would normally buy: Small
Fit + Overall thoughts: BOOM! This was my favorite maxi dress. Love the sleeve, and the length worked with my just-under 5’5 stature and two-inch heels. Very flowy and felt like it wouldn’t wrinkle very easily.
South Ocean High-Rise Skinny Jeans
Originally $148 / Sale price: $49
Size shown: 00 (This is not my size but it was the only pair they had in the store! I would normally wear a size 0 or 2. These were definitely too small!)
Size I would normally buy: 2
Fit: I’ll include these in the pants section tomorrow, but since I wore them in so many photos here, thought I’d review them now as well. I could only find them in a size 00, and they were unfortunately much too small and hurt in the waist area. But so flattering! I think the 0 probably would have been good. So perhaps order your normal size or one size down!
Hi, Mitch. ;)

Love the navy belle sleeved dress and gold sweater dress! If I could design my own print it would probably include a Classic bow or a mitten shape since I’m from Michigan or maybe even a subtle cat print! Alisiaminasian [at] gmail [dot] com
Having owned a Lilly Pulitzer store, I think I know everything that is out there! That being said I love that she had a pet monkey! I would love to see some old-style designs with peonies in pink and green, of course! beckyvolk65 [at] yahoo [dot] com
Resort wear used to only navy, red, and white?! Totally didn’t know that! Love that Lilly brought the color!
If I could design my own Lilly item it would be a camping chair!
Kayrae33 (at) hotmail (dot) com
I love the romper! I normally wouldn’t wear one either. I would love to a Lilly print in orange and pink in maybe a t-shirt dress or maxi. Libby.moreno1 [at] gmail [com]
One interesting thing I learned from the piece is about the beautiful lace romper that I didn’t know existed until this post! If I could design my own Lilly print I would def include palm trees and all things pink and green! Thank you so much again for the info Kelly!
Best,
Ashley

I love that the company has stood the test of time-starting in 1959-and celebrated 60 years recently. I love vintage style and print. I wish Lilly would re-release more Lilly original prints and include a whimsical vintage line of prints. Emi1(at) aol (dot) com.
I didn’t realize Lilly is hidden in all the prints! Lindseyhmcmorrow [at] gmail [dot] com
From Lilly’s story I learned that not only was the fabric designed to hide the stains, it was spill proof! I think if I were designing a Lilly print, I’d make one with cats! dianal96 [at] yahoo [dot] com
Love the fact that Lily started with OJ! I’m on wedding #2 and need some more LP for our honeymoon in Italy.
Our family tags and releases sharks so I would go crazy for a shark print.
Mollyewk(at)gmail(dot)com
Can’t wait to shop online Monday morning!!!
The Lilly McKims are named for her family! It’s her maiden name. If I designed my own print,I would include my Brittney Spaniel Meeko! My email is afeikes (at) outlook (dot) com.
I knew it started with a juice stand, but had no idea why until now :) I am currently in Florida, and it feels like the perfect excuse to shop the sale! Thanks for doing this kelly!
easmauk [at] gmail [dot] com
xx Libby
Interesting thing: Lilly’s husband was related to the founder of the Pulitzer prize. vondoodle321 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I knew it started with a juice stand but she had her dresses made with spill proof fabric?! Genius. I would totally have to incorporate little wiener dogs into my dream Lilly pattern.
aliciamariebrooke [at] gmail [dot] com
So interesting that it all started as a spill proof material – no apron needed! If I were to design a Lily print it would definitely include shades of blue. Lmstarr [at] gmail [dot] com
I had no idea that Lilly was in a psychiatric hospital dealing with post-partum depression prior to launching the iconic brand. For my own Lilly pattern, I would include my favorite things- starfish, seashells, anchors, and lighthouses! I’m a New Englander, how could I not!? I’d love to give it a punny name like “Washed up” or something. This broke college student is still recovering from a wrist injury, so I haven’t been so to save up for this sale like I had hoped. Fingers crossed you pick me! My email is franciegrasso [at] gmail [dot] com
Thank you so much for sharing these gorgeous clothes! I never knew Lily was written in every print. I will be looking out for that now. If I could design my own Lily Print, I would include the Chicago flag colors. Mchogan14 [at] gmail [dot] com
I love that Lilly made her dressed in “Spill proof” fabrics, genius! I would include hidden shamrocks in a Lilly print/design. Jcmenning [at] hotmail [dot] com
My favorite thing about Lilly is the classic “it all started with a juice stand”. Like how more fun could it get?!
If I could design my own Lilly pattern, I would use hydrangeas in it!
pinebrook9acs [at] gmail [dot] com
It all started with a juice stand! I also read someplace else that Lilly lined her dresses because she didn’t like wearing undergarments! ☺️ If I got to design a pattern, I’d do a narwhals pattern! Love narwhals! Shoeshoppinggirl at gmail dot com
I need to hide my art teacher paint stains! I have always loved the Lilly story! Wouldn’t it have been fun to be her neighbor?
If I were designing my own Lilly pattern I would include a bird of paradise or lemons! My daughter loves all things Lilly!
I love the Lilly House print on anything! Maybe a little blouse with billowy sleeves!
sallybchambliss [at] msn [dot] com
I know a bit about Lilly after working in a lilly signature store in college, but I didn’t know she had a pet monkey named Goony! If I were to design a print it would have plenty of palm trees since that’s one of my favorite parts of living in florida! remeyer20 [at] gmail [dot] com
Had no idea Lilly has been around since 1959! Would be so neat to see some of the earliest pieces created. I would include warm sunsets in my own print. Christineo1018 (at) yahoo (dot) com
Hey Kelly! Fav print : BERMUDAFUL! Reminds me of fun and bright fireworks which is exactly the way Lilly makes me feel :) One fun fact about me is I only shop the sale after reading your posts about it. So much good info and the pics help so much!!! I love that Lilly started her products to mask juice stains and now they have grown to be one of the most iconic brands that are noticeable everywhere! If I were to design my own Lilly print I think it would have to be pink and orange like a sunset with pineapples! Love the look of a sunset and who doesn’t love a pineapple print?! ce22mcgo [at] gmail [dot] com. Love this post every sale!!
I literally have 3 of the cool max sweaters too but today I learned there’s a new color I hadn’t seen before! If I was designing a Lilly pattern I would definitely incorporate lots of pink because, “anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink!” sarahadurant17 [at] gmail [dot] com
Love that navy Kayla! I have the print version but always need all the navy too! Looks fab on you. Also rompers first longer torsos!!! Yasss. Mitch looks beautiful as well lol I would love to do a lime based print for Lyme disease awareness!!! Just one bite can change every single thing in your life. alogg24 at gmail dot com
I never knew that Lily resided in Palm Beach. It makes since but I never knew. That explains why that store is amazing!
I would do a pattern with children’s drawings with part of the proceeds going to a charity or hospital. Maybe a few prints for a few major cities. Amanda_orkwis@yahoo.com
This post is so helpful! I’m adding that Odetta sweater to my wish list! Thank you! Also love that Lilly was started in a lemonade stand! I have a chi-weenie and I’d love to incorporate him into a print, maybe a swimsuit print for the guys, or a tie? My email is emilyjmyers [at] gmail [dot] com.❤️
I’ve read a lot about Lilly over the years, but I had never heard this one….apparently Lilly used to enjoy going commando and that is why all of the dresses are cotton lined. If I designed a print for Lilly I would do an orange and blue gator design. Go Gators!
dmtracht [at] gmail [dot] com
Leslie
Your posts are so informative! I love Lilly’s story and that she eloped. My mother in law worked in the Lake Forest store and all my wedding party dresses were Lilly! Still have them and they are vintage now! If I were designing a Lilly print, it would feature lots of jungle animals.
Lesliejenner712 (at) gmail (dot) com
I love that instead of covering up her beautiful designs with an apron, she started using stain resistant fabrics. Genius!
I am from the south so some southern flowers like hydrangeas and magnolias would be included in my design.
jodibrown [at] carolina [dot] rr [dot ] com
Thanks for the 2nd chance!
Jodi
@jlbbrown13
I didn’t know how awesome this sale is! Or that Lilly is written into all of the patterns. If I were to design a pattern, I’d include some equine elements, like a bit or horse shoes. My email is steph.lancia [at] gmail [dot] com
My favorite thing about Lilly is that the whole thing started with a juice stand! I also love that each pattern is hand painted by one of the artists and then that is transferred into a Lilly print. If I were to make my own print, I would definitely include a dog or ballet slippers to signify my dogs or my 2 daughters!
Caroline
cpdriscoll9 [at] gmail [dot] com
I didn’t realize she was related to the Pulitzer Prize family. If I could design a Lilly dress it would have orchids on it because it’s my favorite flower. LTN125 [at] gmail [dot] com
Hi Kelly!
Thank you for your post. My closest Lilly store is 90 minutes away, and with a 1 year old fighting RSV it wasn’t happening today!!
I really love the Adalee Shift Dress!!
Hi Kelly!
Sorry, my first post posted too soon when I was trying to figure it out!! Here’s my complete post!!
Thank you for your post. My closest Lilly store is 90 minutes away, and with a 1 year old fighting RSV it wasn’t happening today!!
I really love the Adalee Shift Dress!! I would wear it to my cousin’s wedding in May. I’ve been looking at it for awhile, but didn’t want to pay full price! #teacherssalary
I have loved Lilly for decades!! I’m known at my school for my Lilly prints. I think her story is fascinating, and love that it started by selling juice and that Jackie Kennedy was a fan!!
If I could design my own print, I would love to design something for moms and sons. I know there are a few options out there, but this boy mom is looking for more!!
My email is mandy.dyjack@gmail.com
Thanks again!!
Mandy
I loved reading about “Lilly” being written into each design- I used to look for her name in each of my Lilly dresses when I was little. My design would be solid colors with jacquard and gold accents!
susanmc720 [at] gmail [dot] com
I learned how Lilly thought of the shift dress while making OJ! and made to hide stains! Definitely need to hide stains as a mom of 2! Can’t wait to find a Lilly outfit for my almost 3 year old! If I could design a Lilly print, it would either have to include pineapples or cute little cacti!
mroz [dot] rachelj [at] gmail [dot] com
I am obsessed with rompers and the white lace romper is the best thing I’ve ever seen so excited its a part of the sale. I absolutely love that she became a dress designer because she needed to cover up the stains she got on her dresses from making orange juice. I also love the Jackie O wore lilly dresses!!!!!! If I could make a print I would definitely include anything having to do with the beach because I am so obsessed with beach destinations and lilly of course :)
nicoleiorio4 [at] gmail [dot] com
I loved that her husband’s family created the Pulitzer Prize. Bonus points – a design with starfish cgambow (at) gmail (dot) com
Interest fact: “Lilly” is hidden in every print!
What I’d include in my print: sailboats
Email: lpopepms [at] gmail [dot] com
One interesting thing that I read about Lilly was the pro tip “you can tell it’s a true Lilly if you can find “Lilly” hidden in the print!” I instantly went and checked all my Lilly pieces for the hidden signature… HAHA! If I could design a Lilly piece, I would create a design with the colors of red, yellow, green, blue, and white. As becoming an inspired teacher, I would love to create a bold statement with apples, notebooks and pencils. Using a comfortable material that would be suitable for being in a classroom all day, I would love to give the appreciation towards teachers that they deserve.
eea003 [at] aquinas [dot] edu
Probably the most interesting fact is that even still, resort wear consisted of three basic colors: Navy, Red and White. Whereas Lilly changed that! My Lilly Pulitzer Print would have pointe shoes and be a beautiful pink.
mjchristian02[at]yahoo[dot]com
I knew that Lilly was written into some of the patterns I have…but now I need to look closer to find it in all of the prints. If I was designing a print I think I’d like to use some of the smiling suns like I have on a tee shirt I bought a couple of years ago. It’s a fun design and I think it would be cute on a summer sun dress.
annek2152 {at} gmail {dot} com
I learned that the white lace romper will be a must this summer. The fact that I thought it was just a dress and it is actually a romper makes me want it even more!!
If I could pick a design it would be dog related and give back to animal shelters across the county.
I absolutely love you page and am looking forward to all the great finds at this sale!
Best,
Carolyn p

That first lace romper you have on in the top photo is to DIE for!!
All these years and I had no idea that the Times added the Palm Beach Season to the Social calendar!!! Amazing!
If I could design my own Lilly print…it would have to be mostly blues, greens, and teals with a touch of pink. It would also mostly have flowers on it, but we’d have a few animals to keep the flowers company!!
Ejsobocinski [at] gmail [dot] com
Hi Kelly!
It may not be something new I learned but I love how Lilly embraced life, love, family, friends and business. She was a confident, go getting women and that’s how I feel wearing her iconic prints!
I’m not sure there isn’t a print that has already been designed but I’m all for mommy and me in flamingo and pineapple, in all the colors!
Ctmalench [at] gmail [dot] com
I found it interesting how Lilly shifted the style in Palm Beach from red, white, and blue to something more colorful! If I could design a Lilly print, I’d include palm leaves and flamingoes. riverskaci [at] gmail [dot] com
I never would have guessed Lilly was originally from NY! I totally expected born and raised in FL. But I loved how she made a dress for JackieO out of kitchen curtains! Such creativity!
If I were able to create my own Lilly print, I would include flowers, seahorses, and octopi
abi (dot) 0103gail (at) gmail (dot) com
I had loved Lilly forever and growing up in South Florida I have always seen her bright colors. I love that I learned that she designed it for hiding stains and spills. If I were to have a print designed I would have lace scalloped hearts spread throughout the design… oooh or maybe a few hidden Mickey Mouse if they did a partnership! Now that would take all my money!! Burton [dot] ashleyb [at] gmail [dot] com
What I learned (and love!) is that Lilly’s door was always open — what a great way to live.
If I could design a Lilly print what I would include would be more POCKETS!!
lsseem [at] gmail [dot] com
You look beautiful in everything!
I did not know she eloped! How romantic! ❤️ If I was designing a Lilly piece, I would include something to represent all the new brides and brides to be with hidden diamond rings. I’ve been married 17 years this year, but remember wearing Lilly to so many parties (and still wearing Lilly to wedding events now)!
Ellen Karp
I didn’t realize until I read the post that Lilly Pulitzer was founded in 1959. If I could design a Lilly Coverup it would be in neutral colors with cute koala bears on it. I love Australia. Hopefully, the line to enter the sale won’t be too long tomorrow!
emkarp25 [at] gmail [dot] com
I love the dress you referred to as very Jackie O. I would never have looked at it on my own but it is gorgeous and hopefully can get it online. Rijalee [at] hotmail [dot] com
My first prom dress (what seems a million years ago) came from Oakbrook mall. Made me smile to see it in your post even though I now live on the east coast.
I probably knew, but had forgotten that they eloped. I’d always include palm trees if I was designing a print. Thanks for the great try-on!
kpmott[at]earthlink[dot]net
I have been looking for a tiki wrap romper in navy for so long but have also been afraid to purchase some I’ve found online due to no knowledge of the sizing. Thank you for your review, I’ll probably try to buy the white now!! Ralee39 at gmail dot com
I know a lot about Lilly! But i never realized her grandfather in law was the founder of the Pulitzer Prize. It just never clicked! Ha. I would include pink poppy flowers if i got to design a print!
Smfranklin [at] gmail [com]
I loved the sweaters and so many of the dresses! I may have to get the Fanci dress (not sure which color) for a June wedding. I loved the story about orange juice creating a fashion empire! Can’t wait for the sale! aewaldz[at]gmail[dot]com
I didn’t learn anything new from the article because I grew up wearing Lilly and have always been interested in her story and her entrepreneurial spirit. At that time it was still so unlikely for a female to start and have her own business and it’s so amazing to me how far it’s come and it’s staying power! For a print I’d have something with flowers and then ladybugs. Ladybugs have a special meaning in our family.
cady [dot] clapp [at] gmail [dot] com
Really interesting that she used spill proof fabrics on her dresses. I love everything Lilly designs!!! Kmkey@bellsouth.net
I’ve always loved that Lilly made the dresses so the juice stains would blend in!
If I could design my own print I would have Lilly collaborate with Disney again. I would just love a Mickey/Minnie print.
Fingers crossed that I can grab the Portia online. My store didn’t have my size. It looks great on you!
emilyd2013 [at] gmail [dot] com
I found out “you can tell it’s a true Lilly if you can find “Lilly” hidden in the print!”
I would definitely incorporate koala’s and donate some proceeds to Austrailia fire victims.
Feliciatam {at} hotmail {dot} com
Thank you for giving us a fun preview! I must say that the simple fact of her solving a problem is the most fascinating. Fun prints to hide stains! I’ve always had an obsession with etiquette books. About 15 years ago I was at a Tuesday morning. I found two books about entertaining with Lilly. That’s where my love of her and her gorgeous fabrics began. If I were designing fabrics I’d stick with bright florals! Those are my most favorite! stafirafamily [at] me [dot] com
I really didn’t know the Pulitzer Prize connection! I would definitely do a cute animal rescue print for charity. Just think of all those bright, fun colored dogs and cats! Danserdani [at] gmail [dot] com
I think it is so great how her styles are timeless. I thought it was interesting in the article that she first crest spill proof options. Brilliant. They are so timeless and just can simply brighten anyone’s day by wearing it as the article said.
I love Lilly’s timeless fashion as said in the article the clothes were created to be simple and just change any stage of life. I learned that originally her clothes were spill proof umm what? Amazing for moms and teachers.
If I had the opportunity to create my own lilly Pulitzer piece, I would create a New York piece. I would want it to include some vineyards and some lakes. Vineyards are such an important part of upstate New York and would make a beautiful lilly piece. I would also create a simple teaching piece. Somehow be creative and have it with numbers or something because as a teacher I’m always looking for fun pieces that I can wear in my classroom.

I love the outer wear! I learned that perhaps bringing in a ruffle or pop or color with Lilly pattern may brighten up what looks like traditional ‘snow’ attire. Wearing the pink vest or cuffed jacket would be great for chilly spring! I’m also loving the 2 in 1 jacket for more budget friendly and yet versatile! Bonus… I would include pink hydrangeas and lemon slices or citrus looks with navy and pinks if I could design my own print!
Lexi (at) pencilskirtsinprimary (dot) com
I love that is started to hide stains, as I am clumsy! I also love that we are the same size, so your recommendations are always super helpful. I would add red or persimmon to the Lilly color palette if I were designing a Lilly print. Chelsea_childers[at]yahoo[dot]com
Great info about the founder. I didn’t realize you can find “Lilly” in the print. I would have palm trees in my print. luvwarmfuzzies [at] yahoo [dot] com
There are some great finds this sale!!
The juice stand and stain, what a great way to start those funky patterns from! If I was to design my own fabric, there would be a Seahorse hidden in it. rosemarymparker [at] gmail [dot] com
I learned about Lilly’s move to Palm Beach! fritz.elizabethc [at] gmail [dot] com
Interesting that she married the grandson of Joseph Pulitzer…but amazing that she made a name for herself! I’d include a small number denoting the year of each print!! fabima2010 [at] gmail [dot] com.
I had no idea that Lilly was related by marriage to the Pulitzer Prize founder. If I could design a print, I would include dogs somehow as they are my favorite. stromfamily6 [at] sbcglobal [dot] net
How cool that resort wear was generally only red, white and blue until Lilly arrived on scene and introduced her bright & colorful dresses?! If I could design my own Lilly print I would be sure to add lots of critters (especially cats and dogs) and hot pink, neon coral and purple! superbabe77 (at) hotmail (dot) com
I love that Lilly eloped with Peter Pulitzer!
If I could design my own Lilly print, I think I would do something floral like the old Southern Charm print.
Katherineloyalcollins[at]gmail[dot]com
Having lived in the Palm Beach area for many years, Lilly’s story is pretty well local legend. But I didn’t know she eloped. This was a fun fact for me that speaks to her free spirit. If I were to design my own print I would include Narwahls, after all… They are are the unicorns of the sea. Janellea [at] gmail [dot] com.
I loved learning about the different types of cardigans and wraps (like the Frederica, Tatum and Macarthy!) My Lilly items over the years have been mostly dresses, but I love a wrap I have and think some cardigans would be neutral, closet staples for years to come. If I were on the Lilly print team I would incorporate magnolias in a print soon! Thanks for all of your awesome sale co rent, as usual! My email is eliselake14 [at] gmail [dot] com.
Obsessed with that white romper!! Will be perfect for beach! Muellerlm {at} Gmail {Dot} com
I love the white romper! After reading the article I couldn’t not believe that Lily Pulitzer was created as a solution to her own problem. What a creative and confident woman! If I made my own pattern I would definitely include whales or whale tails- whales are my favorite animal!
Hoping for the win!
Isabellalavia21@gmail.com
I love that Lilly is written in each print!
If I made a design I’d probably have to throw some Scottie dogs in there!
Pinkwasabi2 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I never knew Lilly eloped! Sometimes I, too, secretly would love to elope one day — easier! ha! Also… after reading your post, I think I’m going to go for ordering a sweater dress during the sale — I usually stick with the prints and navy blue items… but the tan sweater dress looks so comfy and easy!
If I could design a Lilly print, I’d definitely include a toile motif.
email: celeste [at] mail4me [dot] com
So neat to learn more about Lilly herself! What an empire she has built from a simple juice stand! I loved reading how she was just like so many of us- hard working mommas who value style, friends, and family! If I could add a design it would be a donut print shift for girls! My girls are the donut queens of the house and a bright Lilly shift would be a fan favorite for us!
Thanks for the chance- all the best and thanks for the sneak peak! Kelleahendrian[at]gmail[dot]com
I didn’t know that Lilly was related to the Pulitzer Prize family! I would want to include avocados in my Lilly print. kajjjj176 [at] gmail [dot] com
I learned that Lilly eloped! Love her story
tavorourke [at] gmail [dot] com
Love that she was such a business woman and used her natural strengths to go for her plan B when the juice stand didn’t take off!
I always love elephants and zebras, plus her classic toile type designs are a fave I’d use as well!
veronicab33 [at] gmail [dot] com
Loving the reversible jacket! Its actually perfect fort the way above average temps we are getting in Chicago right now! I didn’t know you could shop early at the Oakbrook store, I am going to have to make a trip out to the suburbs today! If I could work on a Lilly design i would create Black leggings with a stripe of pattern down the sides, it would make it much easier to pair with tops! So looking forward to shopping the sale!
stephanlm13 [at] gmail [dot] com
Had no idea that Lilly had a connection to the founder of the Pulitzer Prize — so cool! I’d create a print that has coral-rose gold colored roses — Cara [dot] flynn162 [at] gmail [dot] com
I learned that resort wear wasn’t always so colorful. Who knew!?
I would add a dog in my Lilly print.
Katieannensminger(at)gmail(dot)com
So much cute stuff! I learned that she started by selling juice! If I could design my own print I would have unicorns for the kids collection – I have 3 little girls that love unicorns!
My email is ashleylschuyler(at)gmail(dot)com
That romper omg <3 <3 I learned that Lilly made her beautiful patterns to cover up juice stains! If i could design my own lilly pattern, it would be shades of pink flowers. batcheem2013 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I learned that the I need that button down Natalie coverup.
I want one in every color as well.
Its perfect for boating, beaching!
Definitely hope I score this online since I dont live near any Lilly Stores
If I could design my own lilly print or style I’d want something more floral with bright colors and the coverup would have a removable hood and definitely side pockets too.
bbinkley011[at] gmail [dot] com
Wow! I had no idea that there was a connection between Lilly Pulitzer and the founder of the Pulitzer Prize. I work for a symphony orchestra and our Maestro was a board member up until a few years ago! Weird how connected the world really is. What an amazing woman for standing out during a time when most women were expected to fit a mold. If I could create my own Lilly Pulitzer design print, I would incorporate my wedding colors and our wedding flowers so I could wear the print to upcoming engagement parties and showers :) kristymkayser [at] gmail [dot] com.
I loveeee that Lilly eloped and moved to Florida despite it not being the norm of the time. If i designed a Lilly print, it would somehow incorporate turtles!
spurlock_julie[at]yahoo[dot]com
I didn’t know the prints were intended to be spill proof! How brilliant. I’d add toucans to my print. Steph (dot) cto (at) Gmail (dot) com
One thing I learned today after reading more about Lilly Pulitzer is that she went to Miss Porter’s prep school. If I could design a print I would include horses and roses. Robinj1129 (at) gmail (dot) com
Love that the fabrics were intended to be spill proof! That’s great for over jealous wine aficionados like myself :-) If I could design a Lilly print, it would have to have lobsters or palm trees in it.

I find it fun that in every Lilly print her name is spelled somewhere in the print. As a mom of 3 boys I play a game with them when I wear Lilly to try and find her name in the print. As for the print I’d do a chinoiserie blue green and pink pagoda themed print with tassels weaves through! Kmc8s@yahoo.com
I learned that it started out as a “spill proof” dress. So neat and clever!
rmethasani [at] gmail [dot] com
I didn’t know Lilly was written in every pattern. I like all of the t-shirt dresses with bold Lilly prints! Thank you for the size recommendations, it will definitely help with ordering online!
I had no clue that she was married to the grandson of the founder of the Pulitzer Prize! If I could design my own print, I would include some season/holiday specific prints (fall, Christmas, Easter, etc.) allisonkeathley [at] yahoo [dot] com
I had no idea that Lilly’s husband was a farmer. If i had the opportunity to design a print, I would add short quotes/ bible verses hidden in.
kelseyveal17 [at] gmail [dot] com
I found it interesting that traditional resort colors were navy, red and white! Glad Lilly brought tropical hues into popularity!! If I designed my own LP print it’d have bright coral, pink, and orange with lots of citrus. Or maybe a watercolor illustration of rainbow row incorporated! Kelly (at) kellydellingerevents (dot) com
It’s so wild to think that Lilly dresses were created because of a stain! Meanwhile now I’d freak out if I got a stain on my Lilly! If I had a Lilly print I would have yellow labs, lemons or watermelons.
emilyjoe2020[at]gmail[dot]com
I had no idea that Lilly’s family was in the citrus business, so unique! I love the idea of more cocktail inspired Lilly prints…my very first Lilly dress was in the “Just Add Mint” print inspired by a mint julep!
akmurphy14 [at] gmail [dot] com
Hey Kelly! I learned that the Adalee shift is true to size which I wasn’t sure about because of the fabric. I would definitely add pockets to the Adalee dress. It should be possible if the a line shape. haleyjt421 [at] gmail [dot] com
I absolutely love know
ing how tall you are with the maxi dresses. I want to be able to get one so badly tomorrow and also dresses for my mom and daughter in our trip to Hawaii in June. If I was going to design a color pattern I would love a fluorescent pink with a tropical turquoise color. Love reading your posts!
portiajules(at)yahoo(dot)com
The Jackie O dress, what an amazing neckline, I used to be a rower in college so I would love a print with a reference to that :)
mkaiser175 (at) gmail (dot) com
I learned that “Lilly” is hidden in every print! If I designed one, I’d include shellfish!
sambertschmann [at] gmail [dot] com
Love the Franci dress! Glad I learned in your post that it runs a little big! I would love a print that encorporated cats! christinawhite [underscore] 78 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I had no idea that Lilly eloped to Palm Beach with Peter Pulitzer! Very cool. If I could design a Lilly print it would include some wintery elements. Maybe some polar bears…in the sun…with some citrus? Show a little love to cold weather Lilly fans!
christine [dot] carletta [at] gmail [dot] com
I had no idea Lilly eloped to Palm Beach with Peter Pulitzer! Very cool. If I could design a Lilly, it would have to include some love for northern Lilly fans! Maybe a polar bear…in the sun…with…citrus? Probably for the best that I’m not a Lilly designer!
christine [dot] carletta [at] gmail [dot] com
I love Lily Pulitzer! I never knew that “Lilly” is hidden in all of her prints. Her designs are so unique! If I could design a print I would include hibiscus flowers. kimrosaleo [at] gmail [dot] com
I did not know that she put “Lilly” in every print. That is super cool! If I was able to design a print, I would add different sports symbols.
the [dot] veals [at] yahoo [dot] com
You look beautiful in that maxi dress, even if you didn’t like the ruffly sleeves. It looks great! I legitimately had no idea that Lilly was related to the Pulitzer prize Pulitzers, that was really interesting! I love the colorful prints on other people, but I’m really drawn to the more subtle patterns-and all the navy!
What a generous give away! I’m grateful for the chance: keswoolsey [at] gmail [.com]
Something I love is Lilly’s entrepreneurial spirit and dream to make something utilitarian and beautiful at the same time. I would love to make a print that is inspired by Charleston and include magnolias somehow. uncgrl4lifelaw [at] hotmail [dot] com
I’ll be honest I am a big Lilly fan and know a lot about her line so there was nothing new I learned. My favorite thing about Lilly I would love if I hadn’t already known is the word “Lilly” hidden in patterns. I like to hunt for them and point them out when I wear my pieces to my friends haha. I am looking forward to snagging the Kayla stretch dress and appreciated getting a few more details about it! If I were to design a new print for lilly it would definitely be a lavender or periwinkle solid colored Mila Shift or a pink and orange Popover pattern with horses. Thank you for the opportunity! palewandowski[at]hotmail[dot]com
Okay… too die for… the freakin’ 2 in 1 jacket/vest! Where have I been hiding?! I learned how versatile Lilly is in this post! Soooo wear to work to night out to beach hoppin to day dreamin’ looks! I heart it!
Okay… so if I could design my own Lilly print … I’d like to think a bit outside the box but true to Lilly. I would use the Lilly color hues of pink, turquoise, bright green and design a back to school print. Lilly is so Teacher lovin’ and student lovin’ first day back to school… I’d incorporate some school supplies mixed into the print. Like a books, glue sticks and pencils … how cute would this be on a shift dress!
laurenkerry77 (at) hotmail [dot] com
I didn’t know Lilly’s husband’s fam owned orange groves! How fitting. If I could design prints I would include more cats! Can’t wait for the sale tomorrow. Annarebekahlake (at) gmail (dot) com
Every APS I always look daily to see what different items are dropped throughout. I am getting married in November 2020 so I can’t wait to stock up on the white dresses to rock at bridal events!
I never knew that you can tell a real Lilly by the hidden “Lilly” in the print somewhere. I also loved learning that they did years of research with different athletes on type of material and lengths before launching the Golf Collection. I work in the golf industry so I always appreciate the additional research that makes their skorts so comfortable on the course!
If I was designing my own pattern… I would incorporate golden retrievers and another one for otters. I am a huge animal lover and golden retriever owner so I have a soft spot!
I can’t wait to shop tomorrow!
Caitlynsmith18 (at) gmail (dot) com
I learned that Lilly’s clothing is a true depiction of her life. Regardless of the cut or color each piece is classic and timeless and made to empower the individual who is wearing it. If I designed a Lilly print, I would add piping to the bottom of the clothing piece. bsmith@cyhs.com
Love that her fabrics started as being spill proof considering that’s one reason I love wearing Lily prints! They aren’t to “precious” to wear around my kids! Ashley.s.floyd [at] gmail [dot] com
Didn’t realize Lily had been around since 1959!! I think it would be nice if there was a dachshund print. They are the cutest dogs with the cutest silhouette. My adorable little chocolate and tan mini agrees! Eyjiii(at) aol (dot) com
I learned that Lily’s husband was the grandson of the creator of the pulitzer prize! so cool! If i could design a lily print i would design a garden print :) perfect for spring!
thanks for the preview!
batchele [at] icloud [dot] com
Lilly prints stand up to juice spills!!! If I was designing a Lilly print, I would include beer mugs and the word “brewskis” – the name of my group of friends (who wear lilly!) LTollner [at] aol [dot] com
Slightly embarrassed to say that I already knew everything in the “about Lilly” story…now this is what they should teach in history class! It’s been done, but I would include flamingos (my fave) in my own Lilly print. So many gorgeous pieces in the sale on you – how’s a girl to decide?
michelleannemichaud [at] gmail [dot] com. Thank you for hosting, and keeping my fingers crossed!
I’ve been a Lilly fan/wearer for many years and never knew that she’s related to the same Pulitzers of the Pulizer Prize! Duh.
If I could design my own print, I’d want to incorporate my beautiful dog somehow!
LaurenPDurst [at] gmail [dot] com
I love the variety of this sale. I can buy something for every season including winter. Sometimes when i order from the sale the items I receove can’t be worn immediately. Now there are items I can wear now and look forward to. Elbecker13 (at) gmail (dot) com

I NEED one of those vests!! As for Lilly—I love that the prints were to cover up juice spills! It makes me feel better about being a complete klutz most days. seevangdelaney [at] gmail [dot] com
This first time I heard of Lilly Pulitzer I thought- like the Pulitzer Prize?? But I never researched it, so this confirmed it- so cool! And that the designs were “spill proof” was a neat fact. Im not sure if this design has already been done but I’d do something with fun pink cosmopolitan martinis in it! Girls night out! Can’t wait to snag some stuff at the same tomorrow! Laurakochan [at] yahoo [dot] com
I love the Lilly story involving the juice stand. I always get mental
pictures whenever I read it! Haha
If I had some input into printmaking, I’d love to see a dog print done in a toile style! I bet it would be super cute and fun!
Rockswell [at] comcast [dot] net
There is soooo much more than the printed dresses. I can find great staple pieces, like that camel cardigan. If I created a print, I’d include summertime Beachy things like ice cream cones and bikes.
I love that you tried these on, thank you! I really like the franci dress. I would bring back the Lilly’s lagoon print, it was perfect. I loved the colors.
kathryn_ritchie[at]yahoo[dot]com
Lilly’s Pulitzer’s clothes were worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Would love to see more fruit prints like oranges, bananas, lemons, etc.
Evangelinelabador [at] yahoo [dot] com
I learned that Lilly was married to the grandson of Joseph Pulitzer. If I designed my own print, I would incorporate cherry or plum blossoms.
Wjenny2017 [at] gmail [dot] com
As a big Lilly fan, I’m familiar with the juice stand origin. But I learned that Lilly eloped- which is so cool! Thanks for all the try ones! Loving some of the maxis but since you’re taller than me I fear they’ll be too short. I’d love to incorporate a sunset design into a lilly print! Kkawecki87 [at] gmail [dot] com
Thank for all of this info! Fascinating. I had no idea about the differences in the sizing from XS & S….and the trick to size up with some dresses will really help me! We’re about the same size, so this was so great. I would love to design a washable wrap dress that is long enough to stand up & bend over with but still flattering… in a soft knit with soft pink and white shades <3 jenngs475 (at) gmail {dot} com
I loved how wild Lilly was! If I could design a Lilly print I would include all types of tropical/jungle animals! lcerame2 [at] gmail [dot] com
I didn’t know that Lilly eloped! Gretchenlaland [at] gmail [dot] com
I had no idea she started off making sprill proof fabrics–perfect for my 2.5 year old! tjwinberg (at) gmail (dot) com
Hiding stains with fashionable and fun prints?! Genius! If I could design a Lilly print, I’d include more dogs. I love their current pup print that I’ve seen on pajamas and a tote!
kate [at] simplyadored [dot] com
I didn’t know that resort wear was just three colors before Lilly!
If I could design a Lilly print it would incorporate scenes from Bermuda.
Can’t wait to shop the sale!!
Jrustm [at] gmail [dot] com
Love the Myles Maxi dress and was interested to hear your thoughts on the length. I am about the same height as you so it was very helpful anne0925 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I didn’t realize Lilly Pulitzer was such a tremendous philanthropist. I would like to see scenes from Hawaii in print. kelgreen3 [at] comcast [dot] net
I always wondered if Lilly was connected to the Pulitzer Prize – now I know.
widmanc [at] outlook [dot] com
I loved learning that Lily is written into every print-and that I want to buy everything in this post! Amybdion@gmail.com
I never realized that Lilly came from NYC! I just always associated her with sunny FLA! Learn something new everyday. :) If I could design some prints, I would try to do some collegiate lines, particularly my school – WVU! Try to incorporate the mascot in with with the school colors. It would be amazing!
k [dot] hayes22 [at] gmail [dot] com
Love that Lilly did what she wants, how she wants to – from eloping to designing dresses to hide spills. If I designed my own print, I’d definitely sneak my cats into the design! My email is truesmith005 [at] Gmail [dot] com. Thanks!
If i were to win I’d buy dresses. I am obsessed with all the patterns and would love to spruce up my closet. Email: tajamie03@gmail.com
She was related to the founder of the Pulitzer Prize! What a family!
My print would definitely include lots of pink and maybe elephants!
hartnettaj [at] gmail [dot] com
I learned Lilly did things her own way. I would incorporate more emerald green into her tops and dresses. svigil2328 [at] gmail [dot] com
Love this! I learned that Lilly has so many classic pieces that only seem slightly Lilly, instead of over the top. I still love the brand, but I feel like it doesn’t fit in as well in Colorado as it did when I lived on the east coast. Obsessed with the sweater dress and Kayla dress!
Shubble804 (at) gmail (dot) com
So many gorgeous dresses that I would love to wear to my bridaL
shower this coming year! If I could design a lily print it would absolutely have sailboats! Deryl.pace[at]gmail[dot]com
I love that the prints were to cover the juice stains! My own print would definitely include navy and a bright pink with a floral design- maybe something with anemones. melanieellis13 [at] gmail [dot] com
I love that the idea for the dresses came from her juice stand business. So smart and creative! If I could design my own lilly print it would have mermaids and sea turtles! caitemoss [at] gmail [dot] com
I have always loved her story and that it all started with a juice stand!! Traci [dot] h [dot] hall [at] gmail [dot] com
I was on edge about ordering the Bartlett dress but you sold me on it!!!
Learned: That Lilly’s husband owned an orange grove… very neat!
Email: Kaitlyn [dot] Weil96 [at] gmail [dot] com
Thanks for putting this together!
I love that “Lilly” is hidden in all of the prints! So fun! I also really love when animals are more hidden in the designs. I have one dress that I swear I find something new every time I wear it! If I designed a print, it would definitely have zoo animals hidden, and lots of pink!
