Today I’m wearing my favorite necklace and bracelet–Kate Spade’s Swim Team necklace and Stella & Dot’s Renegade bracelet–to cheer myself up a little. Don’t worry. It’s nothing serious. ;)

I was a tad bit bummed today only because I was stuck at work while my mom and grandma were down on the Jersey Shore getting wedding projects done! I know I haven’t delved into this very much so far on the blog, but I love wedding planning. I mean, yes. It’s my first time planning one, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of it. I’ve often heard that by the end of the planning process you kind of go crazy, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. So bear with me until July 20th. After that, I promise I’ll stop posting about it. ;)

Anyway, instead of meeting with the florist and picking out centerpieces, bouquets, corsages and floral arrangements for the church, I was, not surprisingly, in the Bronx, like I always am. I can’t complain about today, though. My kids were incredibly well-behaved and we made so much progress! Right now we’re learning how to write thesis statements. We’re having a blast, as every time a student writes a successful thesis statement, a “designated dancer” has to break it down in celebration. I can’t believe I’d never thought of this before. Rewarding students for their hard work with permission to dance? Adorable, and really entertaining for the teacher! Too funny.

This weekend Mitch and I are headed down to the shore for more planning fun, so I have my eyes on the prize: Friday! My parents and beloved black labrador, Reilly, are coming down as well. We’ll be finalizing the flowers and stopping by the venue for our “final details” meeting. (Not sure what the “final details” are, but I’ll let you know what’s discussed, hehe.) I’m also going to have my hair/makeup trial done. I can’t wait! This weekend, I’ll post some pictures of the crafts we’ve been working on.

As far as today’s attire goes, I kept it simple, pairing a pink J.Crew gingham button-down with my favorite Joe Fresh gray sweater, which I’ve found goes with everything. My BlankNYC cream corduroys, tucked into my favorite boots, make yet another appearance. They remind me of summer AND they keep me toasty on these brisk March days. (Anybody else hear about the snowstorm that’s due to hit the NYC area tomorrow night? Get ready for my ridiculous hot pink furry boots.)

I try my best to rotate my clothing as much as possible–if not for the sole purpose of keeping it in good shape–but I always find myself going back to my favorites, time and time again. Anyone else have this problem? ;) Whenever I wear an article of clothing that I’ve already worn in the last week, I try pair it with something I’ve never paired it with before. Sounds a lot like the #remixchallenge on Instagram. Maybe I should do it… ;)
