About a week ago, Mitch and I saw the Barenaked Ladies at the Beacon Theatre on the Upper West Side. (Which was fabulous! We’ve been huge fans since the 90s–haha–so it was such a blast to see one of our favorite bands together. Talk about a flashback to middle/high school.) We got our tickets through an incredible service called HowAboutWe for Couples, a members-only site that aims to keep already relationships going through fun date opportunities. As a member, you’re the first to know about events in your area, and you also get discounted rates.

The idea for HowAboueWe for Couples was born when the founders realized that there are tons of online dating sites for singles, but very few for couples in established relationships. Once people find their matches, they want to keep the magic alive! They want to go on fun dates and do exciting things together. But sometimes, they need a little help answering the question, “Honey, what should we do tonight?” ;) (Because, seriously. It’s super easy to fall into a routine. Hello? We’re human. Not characters from a Nicholas Sparks novel.)

Seeing the Barenaked Ladies at the Beacon Theatre on the Upper West Side in NYC through HowAboutWe for Couples!
HowAboutWe for Couples is perfect for Mitch and me, as we have a bit more free time on our hands now that the wedding is over! The site’s date options are awesome. From distillery hikes (yes–you read that correctly!) and murder mystery dinners to painting parties and fencing lessons, there really is something for every couple. Our next events? A “Holiday City Lights Cruise” down the Hudson River overlooking Manhattan and seeing the dueling pianos at Brick NYC. Christmas carols, treats and sweets, and singing along to piano tunes? How could we not? ;)
