Sorry about the weird faces I’m making in these photos, but it was pretty cold out on the docks! (Ugh. I seriously need some color. I’m starting to look like a vampire.) Despite the chill in the air today, I’m hoping that April will be a lot warmer than March. What a dud, huh? ;) I’m also hoping that I’ll no longer need to wear the J.Crew Excursion Vest(s) that I’m pictured in constantly. It’s not that I don’t love them. They were my favorite pieces these past fall and winter seasons. But it’s time to move on! It’s April!

We spent the day out at Lake Bloomington at Mitch’s parents’ cabin. We absolutely love spending time there, even when it’s cold! Today we had an amazing home-cooked meal, sat around the fire, laughed and planned our rehearsal dinner. (Another task crossed off the to-do list this week… Huzzah! ;)) This was my last time seeing the cabin, as it will be knocked down in August. But no worries. The plan is to build a new one in its place so Mitch’s parents can live there permanently. How exciting is that?!

Side note: The flats I’m wearing? Crazy comfortable and on crazy sale. In so many different colors. If I weren’t saving for a wedding, there would be quite a few additional pairs in my closet! ;)
