Happy Friday, everyone! I don’t know how everyone else feels about this past week, but it was a long one for me. Tonight I’m headed to the West Village for dinner (barbecue!) and drinks. I can’t wait to see Erica. :)
Lately, my friends and I have been using Restaurant.com, Google Offers and Groupon in order to save a few dollars. Going out in Manhattan is so expensive. It can really break the bank, and end up causing you a whole lot of unwanted stress. Going out should be enjoyable… not a burden! Using the coupon has been really helpful, though.
How does it work? You select an establishment from the company’s list of restaurants in a particular area. Generally, you need to spend a certain amount of money at the restaurant you’ve chosen, but the coupons take anywhere from $25 to $100 off your bill. For a while, we were stuck in a rut, going to the same places over and over. (Specifically on 2nd and 3rd Avenues in the East Village.) But the coupons have taken us to some great new restaurants! We’ve never been to this barbecue joint before, so I’ll be sure to review it tomorrow.
On tap for the rest of this weekend: A “Jack and Jill” bridal shower on Saturday, and a whole lot of relaxation on Sunday. (And maybe I should straighten up around the apartment. ;) Things have gotten a little out of control!)
Completely unrelated: Has anyone been to J.C. Penney lately?! I really want to know what their Joe Fresh collection is like! As you can probably tell, I’m loaded up on JF today. ;)
