I’m back with another look with Johnston & Murphy–this time, featuring a pair of classic brown riding boots. Because it’s finally that time of year, and there’s just nothing like a pair of quality, versatile boots! And this pair is quality. You know that awesome smell you get when you take a pair of great leather shoes out of the box for the first time? Well, these beauties take the cake. ;) Sigh…
While I can definitely get away with flats and loafers on warmer fall days, I’d be lost without riding boots on the colder ones. That said, it takes me a long time to find a pair that works for me, as I have very small legs and don’t deal well with high heel heights. This pair, though, is perfect! The boots aren’t skin-tight, but they also don’t make me look like I’m swimming in them, and the heel gives me a little height but no pain. And I love the contrast of the calfskin bottoms and uppers with the microsuede-lined shafts.
My favorite way to wear riding boots this year is with cozy, oversized tops and sweaters, and form-fitting (but stretchy) jeans and leggings. The comfier the better for this mom-on-the-go. :) Be sure to check out the rest of Johnston & Murphy’s boots and booties. I personally have my eye on these ankle boots!
