This is clearly the opposite of true “mountain style,” but it’s what I’m wearing for Christmas Eve! I also plan on wearing the dress for tomorrow for Christmas… because “traveling light is traveling right,” according to Mitch! ;) And a cute, fluttery long-sleeved dress? Adore.
Anyway, we made it to Mount Snow, Vermont! It was a rough drive since we left NYC at 11 p.m., haha, and had some considerable fog to deal with. (SCARY. I confess to closing my eyes a few times. Mitch was driving: no worries.) But I’m so happy to be here. Nearly the whole family–Mom, Dad, Grammie, Auntie-M, Uncle Dave, Chase, Sarah, Danny, Annie, Sammy and Paige–has arrived… and the rest (Patrick and Kim!) come on Christmas Day.
While we’re a bit bummed that it’s too warm to ski, we’ve been wrapping presents, cooking, putting puzzles together and playing games, and it’s been an absolute blast. Also really relaxing, which is quite the treat!
Tonight, we’re doing all the traditions: candlestick bowling, hanging stockings, watching Christmas movies, building gingerbread houses, attending mass, eating a ton of pizza, and scattering presents around the tree. And I can’t wait. :)
Hope you guys have a wonderful night with those you love!
Stay tuned for a double post tomorrow AM. :)
