The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately in New York City. Mitch and I have been spending every afternoon wandering the streets of Manhattan, taking in the fresh air and soaking up the sunshine. (Yesterday, we visited our good friends Darby and Jason at their new pad on the Upper West Side. Darby graduated from Northwestern Law last week, and she’s finally returned to the Big Apple. I’m so proud of her… and completely overjoyed to have one of my very best friends back in the city! Darbs and Jason are still waiting on the majority of their furniture, which is being shipped from Chicago, but when we visited them, they were in the middle of putting together Ikea furniture. My heart goes out to them, haha, as I too have struggled to put together the Hemnes collection.)
While the afternoons have been beautiful, the mornings and nights can certainly get a little chilly. Which is why I’ve been relying on lightweight, washable silk tops from August Silk–available at Lord and Taylor, Macys and Dillard’s–to transition from chilly mornings to warm afternoons to chilly nights. I love that the brand’s silk tops can be worn year-round, and that they’re affordable. I may have worn my pink August Silk top twice this past week. ;) Enter today to win your own!
