Second stop on my L.L.Bean Signature Instagram Takeover tour of Chicago: the Lincoln Park Conservatory!
Despite the havoc that humidity wreaks on my hair, the Conservatory is one of Chicago’s coolest attractions, in my opinion. It’s a godsend, really. Especially in the dead of winter, when you desperately need an escape from the harsh weather. No matter what time of year it is, the Conservatory always feels tropical!
One of my favorite activities over the last few months has been parking myself on one of the many benches in the Orchid House, Palm House or Fern Room, and defrosting. (Usually while getting lost in a good book.) And while the weather has certainly warmed up in the last few weeks, I still visit my little oasis to get that much-needed dose of warmth, sunshine and greenery.
Happy Saturday, all! Remember to follow along on my Chicago adventures this weekend by following @llbeansignture, @kellyinthecity and @noodleinthecity on Instagram. :)
And special thanks to TKL Photography for taking these photos!

Kelly, these photos at the Conservatory turned out beeeaaaautiful!!! So fun running into you there. And given I have lived in Chicago for 7 years and never been, you are WAY ahead of the game. You kids are dominating Chicago – keep it up!
I love the idea of shooting here and you look so pretty! The pops of yellow are so refreshing:)
