This weekend, I headed to upstate New York to attend a bridal shower and bachelorette party for one of my very best friends, Darby, in her hometown. (By the way, I made it all the way there without crashing the car. My driving is totally improving.)

Darby looked absolutely stunning. She rocked a gorgeous lace Trina Turk dress, and a pair of our favorite Payless pumps. (Seriously. Get them. They look like designer shoes, but they’re affordable! They also make you feel like you’re walking on clouds. Collectively, we have six pairs. #shoeprobs) And her hair/makeup? Incredible. She looked like a cover model! I can’t wait to see her in her wedding dress in August. (Don’t worry. I’ll post about it. ;) How could I not?!)

On Darby:

Dress: Trina Turk, similar here (Also available here in lots of colors!) / Pumps: Payless

It was incredibly nice meeting Darbs’ family members and friends, who clearly love her so much. Her bridesmaids–three of her best friends from high school–did such a fabulous job with the shower. The food was delicious (hello, omelet station!), the mimosas were refreshing, and there was a giant Oreo cake. After the shower, we stopped at a sports bar and then headed north to the lovely home of one of the bridesmaids. There, we made sushi and pizza, had a wine tasting sesh, and roasted marshmallows around a giant bonfire. It was a fabulous weekend. So looking forward to Darby’s wedding!
