Oh my gosh, guys. Part of me is asking how it’s already Friday, while the other part of me is like, YAY IT’S FINALLY FRIDAY. To be clear: Even though the girls had the week off from school (which I love, for both them and their teachers!) Mitch’s parents took them to the lake for a couple of days, so I have no reason to complain. As you all know, the Larkin household just exists in a special state of chaos at all times, haha. 😅
If you missed it, yesterday I put together a post of my first Black Friday sale picks. Today I’m coming back for round two with J.Crew, Abercrombie, and Tuckernuck!
J.Crew is my favorite brand of all time, and luckily most of the site is always on sale! (Like, promise you’ll never buy any of their essentials at full price EVER, okay? Okay.) This sale is extra good because the special stuff—like the STUNNING Frances Lady Jacket, this cable-knit cardigan with the prettiest ruffles, and the cardigan Meghan Markle wore a few months ago—is also discounted. If you *are* looking to stock up on the classics though, it’s the right time to do so at up to 50% off: the jeans you’ll wear everyday, more jeans you’ll wear everyday (but cropped!), a super versatile white T-shirt, the iconic Edie Bag, a fancy-ish sweatshirt, the coziest cotton sweater, and crazy soft pajamas!
There’s also a TON of wear-now pieces at really, really great prices. Everyone needs the Cocoon Coat, this cashmere scarf is a necessity for Chicago winters, the Quilted Downtown Field Jacket is SO easy, the Faux Sherpa Barn Jacket is basically like a bear hug, and who doesn’t love ankle boots?
Also, this candle caught my eye BECAUSE TARTAN, but “Fresh Powder in Aspen” sounds pretty good right about now.
Oh, you thought I was only doing one J.Crew collage?! Think again—you get an extra 60% off their sale section with code FRIDAY, so obviously I had to make one just for that. There’s a lot to choose from right now, but sizes and colors selling out, so act fast!
I’m OBSESSED with the two-tone design of this trench coat—it makes it look so much more expensive than it is, especially on super sale. (Plus, the coat comes in a few different colors!) If you’re looking for a slightly lighter layer, you really can’t go wrong with this quilted jacket. Barbour vibes for way less! This lady jacket immediately caught my eye because the textured knit makes it a less structured take on their best-selling silhouette.
Their silk blend t-shirt comes in approximately a million colors and I love the idea of making the everyday tee look more fancy. The next two would actually look so good together, come to think of it: this silky, ruffle-trim shirt and this cute corduroy skirt!
Just a few more and then I’m done with J.Crew, I swear, haha. Like I said before, everyone loves a great pair of ankle boots. This bag is so ladylike and the size makes it perfect for date night (not that we have a lot of those nowadays LOL.) Finally, I’m definitely eyeing these wide striped napkins that are LESS THAN $15 FOR 4. What’s stopping me from also getting the $17 placemat set and and $32 tablecloth? Absolutely nothing—except maybe Mitch? 😉 (Hi Mitch, love you!)
Sometimes I don’t feel cool enough to shop at Abercrombie (okay, I *never* do) but they’re a treasure trove of well-priced basics! Their Dad Coat is AMAZING and I’m just so impressed with how high quality their outwear is for the price—this one is basically the same thing but cropped. If you’re looking for a more affordable version of the J.Crew Louisa Lady Jacket, you HAVE to try this tweed one, just trust me.
For colder weather, I think this sweater dress would be so cute with tights and heeled boots. And this oversized scarf is unbelievably soft and cozy in person (I’m all for the rainbow of color and pattern options). I always have a cardigan on hand for when I get chilly!
Some pieces to just have handy in your closet: a beautiful and versatile formal dress, super flattering jeans, a cute exercise dress for running errands, and athletic leggings for anything and everything.
I can barely wrap my head around how much good stuff is on Tuckernuck—they just have the best taste. (Please style me! 😂 JK, but also not really.) The dresses alone! This tweed one is what preppy dreams are made of, I always feel so polished when I wear this sweater dress (with a FAUX COLLAR AND CUFFS), and this midi dress is just effortless. All of you love the versatile Easton Blouse just as much as I do—which is saying something—and I have nothing bad to say about this straw and leather tote.
Their continued expansion into home is SO good. They recently launched table linens and this tablecloth looks like it’s from a high-end design house. (This bowl would look so cute styled on top, BTW!) Silver frames are absolutely timeless and I love the beaded trim on this one.
Remember my partnership with Weezie? They have a few exclusive colors available on Tuckernuck (with custom embroidery!) and the off-white trim on the robe is really speaking to me. It’s super simple, but also elevated, you know? This throw blanket—which you can have embroidered as well—is another simple-yet-elevated pick. Ending on this yoga mat, because even though I don’t actually do yoga, it’s just too adorable not to share. Plus, for every one purchased, Tuckernuck will donate another to Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC!
