Have you heard of Andie? An advertisement for the company popped up for me somewhere, and I clicked. 😆 But guys. I’m VERY interested. Mostly because of the beautiful textured “Terra” fabric so many of the suits come in (shown above), but also because of how many options there are–specifically long torso options. (It’s crazy! Every suit I looked at came in long torso in a few colors.)
My understanding is that Andie is a direct-to-consumer “customizable” and inclusive bathing suit company similar to Summersalt. (Summersalt, btw, doesn’t carry as many long torso options, but they do have two: the Sidestroke and the Marina.) Both companies get fantastic reviews and offer tons of different styles and sizes. And both companies’ prices are reasonable; you can expect to pay somewhere between $95 and $115 for a one-piece, which is what you’re typically lookin’ at with J.Crew Swim. (Though J.Crew Swim does go on sale more often.) Similarly, tops and bottoms are ~$50 each.
I have to admit that the whole free shipping and returns thing is very alluring, haha. (Which is exactly how they want me to feel!) So yeah. I’m considering the Amalfi, Ibiza, and Mykonos from Andie. And I may try the long torso Marina from Summersalt, since so many people rave about the brand. (LOVE the long torso Sidestroke but it doesn’t come with padding. Also wish it came in white in long torso!) The Tie Oasis (apparently good for long torso) and Jetsetter caught my eye, too.
I’d be thrilled to finally find a suit that I absolutely love… but we’ll see. My hopes aren’t that high, haha!
Note: If you’re looking for other long torso options, I’ve found success with Lands’ End and Boden. I have and love this Lands’ End x Draper James suit and this Boden suit! This full-coverage one and this deep V one from J.Crew are also great.
Have you tried Andie or Summersalt? Reviews, please! :)

Huh that Andie Swim company has been advertising at me but I haven’t clicked yet (I mean, it is winter where I am, no swimsuits needed here!). That fabric is gorgeous. However, I’m really keen to get a Summersalt swimsuit for summer, and comparing the two, it looks like Summersalt has better bum coverage – that’s a must for me. If you do buy one from Andie please let us know your thoughts!
Okay the bum coverage thing is so important to me, too… and I agree that Summersalt has more! There are a couple of Andie ones that have it so I’m going to try those… but we’ll see! Will report back. :)
I bought the Andie Ibiza this year and LOVE it. I had a baby in April, so I was planning to keep expectations low for how I felt in a swimsuit, but this suit it incredibly supportive without being matronly. It’s very flattering and high quality. It’s magical, really. I don’t typically invest in swimwear (the last few years I bought from cupshe and old navy), but found this worth every penny.
AH! This is so good to know! Thank you! The Ibiza is supposed to have more bottom coverage which is why it’s in my cart. Did you go with a pattern or a solid? Thanks, Lauren!
I just tried Summersalt. We have a pool, so we are in our swimsuits all the time. I did not feel that the quality was worth the $100 that I spent, so it went back. I’ll stick with the J. Crew Swim sales and Old Navy.
Ah, good to know, Sarah!! I love a solid J.Crew swim sale — I recently got a long torso one-piece for $40 and I was THRILLED, haha. :) So jealous of that pool!
I have both and love both. Andie’s fabric is amazing and flattering. Summer slay offers more compression and has better bum coverage. I’ve never felt more confident (after two babies) wearing my Andie!
Two people have said they felt confident after having a baby in the Andie. I’M SOLD.
And yes! A friend told me this morning that Summersalt is really all about the compression. Do you have the Marina by any chance? Or the Sidestroke? I don’t think I can’t do the Sidestroke b/c of the no padding so I’m more drawn to the Marina!
I have the Summersalt Ruffle Oasis in teal and am obsessed! The hold is great and their prints are really exciting. I feel more comfortable in a one piece in a print versus a single flat color. I’m also short and appreciate bum coverage, but don’t need long torso. Also their customer service is top notch- I forgot to put my coupon code in my first order and they refunded me the savings and I tried 2 suits and was able to return the one I didn’t want with ease. Can’t say enough good things and can’t wait to order my next Summersalt (probably next summer)!
I’ve been considering both brands and I’m interested to hear feedback from other ladies that are top heavy? Support and coverage are what I need.
I have both the sidestroke and marina from Summersalt. Like you- I don’t love that I’m the sidestroke doesn’t have padding. However, it’s one of the best fitting suits I own. I have the marina in the color you linked, and I’m obsessed with it. Definitely will be ordering it in other colors. Good quality and really flattering.
I just bought the summer salt side stroke this year and it’s beautiful. It holds my belly in and is super flattering. The lack of padding is not a huge issue for me.
was searching for a review on one v. the other and was thrilled to find one from you! I have two suits Andie in my cart right now- the Tulum and the Montauk. But did you say they have free shipping? I don’t see that, unless it’s over a certain amount. Thanks for your help!
