This past weekend, Mitch took his students to D.C. on a three-day social studies trip (the sweetest, right?) so I flew solo for the first time in a long time. I’ll admit that I wasn’t looking forward to it, as I get tired easily and struggle to keep up (or even keep my eyelids open) at night, when most of my friends get together. But a few of ’em decided to organize a last-minute brunch and hangout session on the beach, and it was perfect. (Totes stayed awake for it.) What could be better than warmth, friends, laughs, sandwiches and virgin mimosas? Regular mimosas, I suppose… but hey: we’re nearing the end here! ;)
I wore this gorgeous maxi dress, which I found at Nordstrom. I’d been eyeing it for a long time, and finally picked it up a few weeks ago in anticipation of my upcoming trip to Nantucket. (You can expect to see it again soon!) While it’s not a maternity dress, it really works! It’s fitted at the top yet extremely flowy and therefore extremely flattering. So in love. (I mean, in some of the photos, the bump isn’t even that noticeable!) I also adore the price point of the dress. As the darker blue is selling out quickly, here’s a second option.
Nordstrom is, without a doubt, my favorite retailer for dresses. The selection is amazingly extensive, and there’s a wide range of prices available. I also love how I always find a dress for whatever occasion I’m shopping for. And with free shipping and returns, shopping is guilt- and worry-free. Right now, I’m swooning over this bell-sleeved fit-and-flare dress; this blue-and-white striped dress; this long, lacey maxi; THIS BRIGHT MAXI (#omg); this palm print number; this pineapple shift; this navy-and-white striped dress; and this scalloped chambray dress! Here’s hoping I can live vicariously through you until the fall. ;)
