Despite the snow, sleet and rain that hit New York City this afternoon, today was fabulous. Not only were my seventh and eighth grade students adorable–they’re currently obsessed with Monster by Walter Dean Myers and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee–Mitch and I also had the pleasure of joining my parents for dinner at the Union League Club on 37th Street between Madison and Park Avenues. So fun! I absolutely love meeting up with my dad after work in Manhattan, and when my mom can make it–well, it’s doubly as fun. :) Love my family!

These pictures were taken right as the snow/rain/sleet storm was hitting New York City, so pardon the darkness and feeling of impending doom. ;) On the way home, Mitch and I, of course, got stuck in the gray slush that accumulates on the city’s sidewalks during every storm. I ruined my red pumps… but who cares? Family fun was totally worth it! Ah, the magic of not spending a ton of money on shoes. Once in a while, it pays. ;)

Only four more days of school until Spring Break! We can do this, NYC teachers! :)
