Truly one of the most ingenious style ideas I’ve ever heard of: five pieces that can be mixed around to create 12 to 15 adorable outfits, all perfect for your next vacation.

When I first heard about Vacay, I thought there was no way this was possible. But my friends, it’s possible. And it has the ability to completely change the way we travel.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve moved more and more away from carefully curating and accessorizing my vacation outfits. I mean, yes: I want to look and feel fabulous, as I’m finally on the trip I’ve undoubtedly been looking forward to for a long time. But I also want things to be easy. Because it’s a vacation, and it’s meant to be fun and relaxing.

I think no matter what your age, though, packing for trips can be stressful and difficult. You want to have options once you get there, but you also can’t bring your entire summer wardrobe along with you. No one likes struggling with an overstuffed bag, which I talked about here, and no one likes when the contents of said bag–which totally fit back at home–don’t even come close to fitting at the end of the trip. (Why does that happen?!) Simply put, the struggle is real.

But Vacay, a San Francisco-based clothing brand redefining the art of women’s travel wear, eliminates the struggle. With each collection’s five pieces (specifically designed to take you from day to night), you can create 12 to 15 adorable outfits. All you have to do is bring along a couple of staples: your favorite pair of shorts and your favorite pair of jeans. (I also found that Vacay outfits stand on their own, and require little to no accessories. I packed one pair of earrings, one bracelet and one dainty necklace for my trip to the beach, and that’s been more than enough!)

In today’s post, I’m wearing the Newport Stripe Maxi Dress, which is part of Vacay’s Newport Collection, inspired by the nautical history and beautiful landscape/mansions of Newport, Rhode Island. The piece is designed to be worn two ways: as a coverup or dress. I love that you can simply throw the ivory strapless slip into your beach bag, and go from day to night instantaneously. It doesn’t even require a trip to the bathroom to change!

Isn’t it the cutest? I think it’s safe to assume that this dress–along with Vacay’s entire Newport Collection, actually–is coming with me on our trip to the beach next month!

Over the next few days, I’ll be featuring several additional outfits from Vacay’s Newport Collection while I’m at the beach, so stay tuned for more. :)

Remember: When you purchase an entire Vacay collection or any five pieces from the company, you’ll receive 20 percent off and a free beach bag. You can also use the promo code “KELLY10%” to take an additional 10 percent off a purchase of a full collection or five-piece purchase. Free beach bag still included!

A huge thank you goes out to my Dad, who’s an amazing photographer and–clearly–an amazing father. :) Love you so much, Dad!

That’s my daughter in the water
Everything she knows, I taught her
Everything she knows

Everything I say, she takes to heart
Everything she takes, she takes apart

That’s my daughter in the water
Every time she fell, I caught her
Every time she fell
