Happy Monday, guys! I hope you had an absolutely wonderful weekend. The Larkins had a pretty crazy couple of days: an amazing birthday brunch for Kit at Rural Society, and an impromptu (out-of-control?) Halloween party at the house. More on all of that later, because I’m still recovering. (#old) But you can see Noodle’s Halloween costume here! And Noodle rocking out to Taylor Swift with Jess here, haha.

Anyway. This is what I wore on Friday night, which was low-key and spent (completely characteristically) in Lincoln Park. Mitch and I try out best to reserve Fridays for date nights, and I’m so glad. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy catching up about the week over pizza and wine! :)

As for what I wore:

Sail to Sable Navy Cowl Neck Sweater Dress: Never have I been more in love with a sweater dress before. Typically, sweater dresses tug at all the wrong places on me, but this one? It’s perfect. It’s form-fitting on the top, yet has just the right amount of “flow” on the bottom. And while it’s super warm, it’s not suffocating. Like I said: perfect. Oh! You can take 25 percent off your next full-priced STS order with code “KELLYINTHECITY.” If you end up using it, I’d love to hear what you pick out!

Sizing help: I’m wearing my usual size!

Ted & Muffy Custom Navy Over-the-Knee BootsAdore. I’ve been looking for navy leather boots that fit my small calves for the longest time, and these are everything. They’re custom: simply enter your shoe size and calf size, and they’re sure to be a perfect fit. They’re also ridiculously comfortable–zero break-in time–and they go with nearly every fall outfit. (For me, at least. When am I not wearing navy? Hehe.) Couldn’t recommend them more!

Dudley Stephens “Willow” Fleece Cape: I wear my fair share of fleece during early morning walks with Noodle, while visiting my parents on the Shore, and while visiting my in-laws at the lake. Rarely do I wear it out-and-about in the city, though. As much as I love feeling cozy, it feels too casual. But Dudley Stephens has really changed my opinion of fleece. The Brooklyn-based company is turning fleece into something stylish! I’ve found myself reaching for this cape again and again this past week, and it’s no wonder. It’s cozy, comfy and fashionable–and it’s made of recycled yarn. It’s a lighter, softer material than traditional fleece; it’s machine-washable; and it never requires an iron. (Sold, right?!) Other favorites include the Poplar Dress (in grey) and the Shearling Smith Jacket. Cozy meets cute!

Side note: I love Dudley Stephens’ “About Page,” which reads “…whether it was while on boat rides on Long Island Sound, skiing in Vermont, or on the beaches of Nantucket.” (I went to college on the Long Island Sound; my family spends every Christmas in Mount Snow, Vermont; and I grew up visiting family on Nantucket. Sigh!)

Over and out, Friends. One of my very best friends, Mandi, is flying in from NYC to spend a few days with me in Chicago… so I’m off to the airport! So excited. :)

(Miss you, Darbs!)
