This afternoon, I headed downtown to the RedLight showroom to meet with my new (fabulous) friend, Matt. The gorgeous showroom–think exposed brick and sweeping views of the city–is right down the street from Madison Square Park, and overlooks Broadway. (Swoon.) There, I had a great time meeting the staff, and I fell in love with the Darling, an adorable brand launched by London-based designer Nadia Moraes.

Jeans: Lilly Pulitzer (Old), but currently lusting over these Lilly pants / BlazerH&M / T-ShirtTarget (Definitely the softest t-shirt I own.) / Bag: c/o C.Wonder (More colors here. Larger version available here. And don’t forget to monogram!) / Bracelets: c/o Julie Vos via Tuckernuck and J.Crew / WatchMarc Jacobs, also loving the tealbrownrose goldblack, and multi-colored versions! / PumpsKenneth Cole (They’re baaack. I blame the closet explosion.) / NecklaceKate Spade /  LipstickClinique / EarringsJ.Crew, less expensive version here / Sunnies: Kate Spade (available here via eBay)

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve always felt that I’m truly a British girl trapped in an American’s body. I guess that’s why I’m obsessing over Darling, and its “quintessentially ‘English'” look. Plus the fact that the line is affordable! And available on Asos! (Yippee!) Anyway, you’ll be seeing me in quite a bit of Darling over the next few weeks. But for the time being, here are some shots of what I wore today. (In hindsight, perhaps the pants were inappropriate for work. But no one said anything. So maybe no one noticed? ;))

Oh. And guess what? After months of living out of a suitcase, and finally getting my own closet, my clothing rack COLLAPSED TODAY. Ugh. Perhaps I have too much clothing? ;) I am sufficiently annoyed. The rack was never anchored into the wall, I quickly learned! It was just screwed in there! Poor craftsmanship. We’ll see if management fixes it tomorrow. If not, I’ll be installing my own. And by that, I mean that I’ll be asking Dad to come over. (Loveeee you, Dad.)

I also must mention–and this is completely off-topic–that there is a man riding around my neighborhood on a bicycle dressed as Batman. And it’s been going on for a long time. Batman, I’m curious: how do you make a living? Are you sponsored? Are you independently wealthy, and trying to bring happiness to the neighborhood’s children? Are you crazy? Do you just like attention? What’s going on? Hoboken wants to know. I suppose I could Google this, but I’m going to bed. Over and out!

Actually, one last thing: I miss you, Erica. Like whoa. I know that the cheese is probably really good in Wisconsin, but there are taxis here that haven’t been kicked in ages.

And I haven’t painted my nails in over a month. (Seriously. In what box is the nail polish?! Ricky, I know unpainted nails is your pet peeve.)
