As getting dressed every morning has become a real challenge, dressing for a sudden weather change has proven to be even more challenging. While last weekend’s cooler temps were a godsend for me, I realized that I had very little fall-like clothing that I could wiggle myself into. ;) So I fell back on the classics: dark jeans, my favorite military jacket, a black bag, and gold and leopard accessories.
Wasn’t it Jenna Lyons who called leopard a neutral? (She was so right.) And don’t fancy accessories always make a boring outfit more fun?

These photos were snapped at the beach on Saturday, right before Mitch and I visited an amazing New York-style slice place: Dante’s Pizzeria in Logan Square. While we both love deep dish, we’d been hardcore missing NYC-style pizza, but hadn’t yet found an establishment we loved. Well, we found it! SO GOOD. You have to go. But beware: the slices are pretty huge. Don’t be like us and order four slices and garlic bread. We now understand why the waitress gave us such a funny look when we placed our order. ;)
Anyway, I’ve been trying my best to look presentable when we go out, even though it’s hard. But I definitely felt put-together with my black bag (which is deceivingly large and carries everything I need!), leopard bangle, and gold watch.
