Oy. Another late post. 2017 is off to a rocky start, haha.
One of the reasons I love blogging so much is that it almost serves as a little diary. When looking back on 2016, it’s easy for me to sum up my year in a sentence or two: “2016 was great! Emma was born!”
But when I scrolled through my posts (which, yes, took a while), I was amazed by just how much occurred. So I thought I’d take myself on a trip down Memory Lane today. WARNING: This post is crazy long, and if you somehow make it to the bottom, you deserve a gold star. ;)
If you’ve been following along for a while, you might remember Mitch’s “One Second Every Day” video from last year. Well, this year’s has been completed! As we had a lot going on, the video took a while to compile. So please excuse the fact that it ends in March, and we’re publishing it in late August. ;) But hey: it still covers a lot of incredibly special and fun times, and I’m so grateful for it. Thank you, Mitch!
A couple of friends recently sent me this insanely awesome Christmas video filmed at my high school, and I cannot get over it, haha. I absolutely loved Notre Dame High School, and the video–as silly as this sounds–really portrays my experience there. ;) It was such a wonderful place to grow up in, and the friends I made there have truly become lifelong friends. (Love you guys so much.)
June 6th, 2013 was a very special day for a lot of people. My brother, Patrick, married the love of his life, and the Sheehan family gained the best daughter and sister-in-law we could ever hope for. :)

Recently, Pier 1 Imports opened a brand new and absolutely gorgeous flagship store off North Avenue in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Mitch and I have spent a lot of time there, as it’s close to our new home and it has an incredible amount of merchandise in stock. Seriously: the place is huge, and it’s beyond pretty. So much natural light, and it’s very well laid out.
Okay. I realize that this video depicts Mitch and me eating and drinking our way through Manhattan this past week, but… well, this is real life. ;) Mitch is on vacation, it’s summer, and we were really happy to be back. So here’s a glimpse into what things are actually like when we aren’t standing in the middle of busy streets, trying to take beautiful photos and capture little details. Here’s a glimpse into something real.
