J.Crew Navy Excursion Puffer Vest

Shirt: J.Crew Factory / Belt: H&M, similar in hot pink here / Necklace: Old Navy, similar here without ribbon / Jeans: BlankNYC, similar here and here / Pumps: Cole Haan / Bag: MICHAEL Michael Kors / Watch: Marc Jacobs / Bracelets: Forever21 (save here, splurge here), J.Crew Factory and Kate Spade / Earrings: J.Crew / Vest: J.Crew

So, I should probably warn you that you’re going to be seeing these pink pumps a lot this spring. When I find a pair of heels that are actually comfortable–a rarity for me–I put them on repeat until they’re essentially unwearable. What cute pumps have you found that are actually comfortable? I’d love to know!

Hot Pink J.Crew Coat

Coat: J.Crew / Shoes: DSW (in different colors) / Scarf: NYC street vendor, similar here in infinity style / Jeans: Hudson / Pearl Earrings: J.Crew / Bracelet: J.Crew Factory / Lipstick: Clinique

This is an oldie, but I think it’s appropriate for today, as I’m so incredibly happy! Don’t get me wrong. I love my job. It’s incredibly rewarding, and it’s part of who I am. But it’s also exhausting. ;) That said, this teacher is officially on Spring Break-mode!

Pink Pencil Skirt

“Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.” -Lilly Pulitzer

Shirt: J.Crew Factory / Skirt: H&M (old), similar here in lace but even better here / Necklace: Kate Spade similar here / Bag: C. Wonder (sold out), similar here and in hot pink here / Pumps: Target (old), similar here / Scarf: H&M (old), similar here / Belt: Necessary Clothing, similar here / Watch: Marc Jacobs / Bracelets: J.Crew Factory and Amrita Singh / Earrings: Tory Burch

One of my best friends, Rebecca, texted me this quote early this morning, and it inspired today’s outfit. After all, I completely missed the boat yesterday, as it was the first day of spring and I forgot to dress up for it in celebration. (Phooey.) I got a few strange looks at work today, but I’ve always considered those looks to be a good thing. If no one ever took any chances with their wardrobes–or if no one ever went bold–would we even have colored pants? I think not. ;)

Wonder bracelets here, and Stella & Dot / Ankle Boots: Chinese Laundry / Earrings: Kate Spade / Lipstick: Joe Fresh / Tights: Gap

Today is March 20th: the first day of spring! Of course, it’s still pretty cold in New York, so it’s a bit difficult to get excited about spring’s “arrival.” I am, however, excited about today for another reason. Four months from today, I’ll marry my best friend. :) It’s a complete fairytale.

Tory Burch Black Reva Flat

Leggings: Zara, similar here (super save!) and here / Blazer: Dear Hannah (Hoboken boutique), similar here / T-shirt: Joe Fresh, similar here / Flats: Tory Burch / Necklace: Kate Spade / Bracelets: Kate Spade (old), black bangle here, and J.Crew Factory / Watch: MICHAEL Michael Kors / Earrings: Tory Burch / Bag: Kate Spade

The last thing I wanted to do this morning was get dressed up for work. (I blame you, Dad, for the awesome night last night! ;)) Lately, when I really want to wear sweatpants but need to pull of a respectable look, I’ve been wearing fancy leggings (seems like an oxymoron, doesn’t it?) and pairing them with a tshirt and boyfriend blazer (similar here). Pile on the jewelry and slip on Tory Burch flats, and you’re good to go. Comfort level? 10+ ;)

Navy Polka Dot Dress

Dress: Mystic, similar here / Tights: HUE / Shoes: Dexter via Payless / Blazer: H&M / Bag: C.Wonder, similar in gold here, and similar in pink here / Necklace: J.Crew / Bracelets: J.Crew Factory, J.Crew, J.Crew / Umbrella: NYC street vendor (Don’t buy one. They break within hours. ;))

Despite the snow, sleet and rain that hit New York City this afternoon, today was fabulous. Not only were my seventh and eighth grade students adorable–they’re currently obsessed with Monster by Walter Dean Myers and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee–Mitch and I also had the pleasure of joining my parents for dinner at the Union League Club on 37th Street between Madison and Park Avenues. So fun! I absolutely love meeting up with my dad after work in Manhattan, and when my mom can make it–well, it’s doubly as fun. :) Love my family!

Saint Patrick’s Day Outfit

Wonder, similar here / Bracelet: Stella & Dot / Fur: Joe Fresh, splurge here, save here / Sunglasses: Cole Haan, similar by Kate Spade here / Earrings: Kate Spade, similar in glitz here / Bag: H&M, splurge here, save here

Brrrr. Hoboken is usually hopping on Sunday afternoons, but today–even with it being Saint Patrick’s Day–I only saw sprinklings of pedestrians. It’s freezing! Every year, Saint Patrick’s Day seems to be a celebration not only of the Irish, but of the coming of spring. Let’s take last year. I specifically remember wearing a light coat that I eventually shed due to overheating! What’s up, spring? Where are you? Everyone is patiently awaiting your arrival!
